Scout's 2016 National Recruiter of the Year: Chris Partridge
Scout's 2016 National Recruiter of the Year: Michigan Linebackers Coach Chris Partridge
Seems like a good start to his assistant coaching tenure...
Also, Jay Harbaugh posted the above link and added a nice little zinger...

That whole selling hope thing turned out okay I guess

And Jedd is still in the top 10 recruiters on 247. Looks like we have a nice little core of recruiters if I do say so myself...

When you witness EUTM each day, it is contagious.

There are tons of them in EL.

When you dominate NJ and get the No. 1 player, you are obviously the best.

Rutgers: Thank you again and again!
February 4th, 2016 at 12:11 PM ^
This year, 10 of the top 12 recruits from NJ signed with a Big Ten school. Zero of them signed with Rutgers. Good call, Rutgers, on not hiring Partridge. You wouldn't want him to damage your standing with NJ recruits (story).
Congrats, Coach Patridge. Outstanding hire.

I mean, Rutgers is still Rutgers. They were losing out to anyone and everyone who recruited New Jersey
February 4th, 2016 at 2:37 PM ^
But Rutgers is known for having such outstanding representatives of their university.
Ray Rice - Doesn't require an explanation
The million guys suspended/kicked off the team this year.
Mike Rice - Former bball coach who was chucking balls at the players
Why wouldn't anyone want to go there?

be recognized as the recruiter of the year. Good chance he doesn't even keep his job. It helps when you have a lot more to sell than just hope.

"Join the Big Ten" they said. "It will be good for Rutgers football" they said. pic.twitter.com/XIqPkknLO2

persuade Rutgers to join. They would have agreed to not getting any of the top in-state recruits as a condition of membership.

Well deserved.

I could be mistaken, but when they last did these rankings sometime before NSD, we had three coaches in the top ten, and only a few schools had two in the top 25, so if you go by that, this staff can definitely hoof it when it comes to recruiting. To see the success they have had now in Harbaugh's first full cycle here, however, has been a sight to behold and Partridge has been more than integral to that. Congratulations to him.
February 4th, 2016 at 12:55 PM ^
Yeah but we totally only hired him to get Gary and Peppers amirite? Not because he's a stellar coach or recruiter, but only for that ulterior motive. /s obviously

Well that certainly seems to justify the promotion to a coaching position. Well done.
And, let me humble myself over the disparaging things I said about Jay Harbaugh. During last year's recruiting cycle, I expressed my hope that Jay would stop tweeting/leaking ("tweaking"?) about imminent verbal commitments. I felt he made himself look silly, and put unnecessary pressure on the recruits who's decision was being discussed in the message boards. I had my doubts about Jay, but boy howdy, can the man coach. The TEs were arguably the most improved position group of the season. Jay, you da man. Tweet whatever the hell you want (just be careful about putting kids on the spot in the media spot light).

Coach is a fantastic judge of talent in every area of football. I have to believe it comes from his experience and his willingness to use the many football minds around him.

for Michigan staff member of the year? I don't remember seeing a winner.

I think that hiring paid off.
