Saturday Michigan Athletics Championships Schedule
I’m sure most of us are aware of the big ones, but it’s a very busy day today for Michigan athletics competing in various NCAA Tournaments and Championships. All times are Eastern.
- Women’s Swimming is competing at the NCAA Championships in Atlanta. Starting at 10am and 6pm on ESPN3
- Wrestling continues in the NCAA Tournament at 11am on ESPNU/ESPN/ESPN3
- Women’s Basketball kicks off their NCAA Tournament at home, tip-off at 3:30pm on ESPN2
- Men’s Basketball plays their Round of 32 game against Tennessee at 5:15pm on CBS
- Women’s Gymnastics competes in the Big Ten Championships at 5:30pm on BTN
- Hockey takes on Minnesota for the Big Ten Championship at 8pm on BTN
Plenty of opportunities to watch our athletes as they compete for championships today. Again highlighting the great success our sports are experiencing recently.
Women’s basketball playing American University, meant to put that into the OP after I double checked to make sure I had their opponent correct.

Not postseason but men’s lacrosse vs Notre Dame at noon on ACC Network.
Go Blue! wall to wall today. The teams, the teams, the teams. Those who compete for the Maize and Blue will be champions.
Heading out to rent a few flat screens for all the action!

How in the hell did I miss that? *facepalm*

No worries. It's further down the board so most people will miss it. Just wanted to direct people to that post since there is some discussion there and to give credit to Oriental Andrew for being "first."
On the other hand, I screwed up the time for the hockey game and mistakenly indicated that water polo was a men's sport, sooo...
;)

Also, my 6 year old just had 4 points, 6 boards, 2 blocks, and a borderline flagrant-1 as the “Sixers” smoked the “Jazz” 22-13.
This doesn’t have anything to do with Michigan but it was pretty badass.

Please tell me the “Sixers” was the chosen name due to the age of the players.

Michigan is good at EVERYTHING.
And it does not stop at athletics.
Academics, college town, campus life . . . Michigan has it all.
Except the weather. Weather sucks most of the academic year. So go vacation in San Diego when you graduate.

But, when you graduate, the weather will be beautiful (unless you graduate in December).
Ah, spring in Ann Arbor is so fantastic. I lived on North Campus one year. I would go down by the river a lot and found the foundation and fireplace of an old house. On the last Saturday before exams, a bunch of us got cookout fixins, built a fire in that fireplace and had a cookout, partying until the wee hours of the morning. One of my best memories.
Edit: Holy crap! I just realized that was 33 years ago! Also the year Rumeal iced the game in OT vs. Seton Hall.

Go Blue! My buddy had an extra ticket to the wrestling quarterfinals yesterday so I attended that and it was fun! I'll be watching on TV today along with everything else!
