Recruiting: Future RB Tavierre Dunlap gets the ultra-rare 99-yard TD run last night

He got through the first level, and then it was 90 yards of green straight to the endzone.  Had to have been a heck of thrill for the young dude!

Side Note....  Does anyone know if there is a M site that is collecting and charting the HS stats for all our incoming recruits?  I seem to remember it being done here or on TTB some time in the past but haven’t found anything this year.  (Not a paid 247 or Rivals person - maybe it is there..)

I got thinking of this last night as I saw a thread doing it for PSU on their 247 board —- granted I was mainly over there looking for Schadenfreude after they lost yet another recruiting battle yesterday.  (Diego Pounds the 3* OT from NC that was 100% balled to PSU as of mid-week pledged to the fighting Mack Browns)

Frames isn't very happy with his class or the efforts of his coaches. Not very complimentary to the kids that are currently committed. They currently have 4 kids from the state of Michigan in the class. Jalen Reed, Jamari Buddin, and Kalen, and Kobi King. I wonder if Bellville feels the lack of respect from PSU, and Frames?

His times aren't slow, but they aren't fast either.  However he looks fast on the field and has a lot of carries to the house so that's good.

40 times can be harder to read until you see them play.  Ie his 40 is listed as 4.62, and an 11.2 second 100m.  However Carlos Brown only listed a 4.6 40 his jr year and was blazing fast and won track meets against sec/acc players in the south claiming 4.3 40's.

Yeah, this has been discussed more and more in the past 5-10 years; how 40 times aren’t really a great measure for much of anything in football. Shuttle times are very important, as are some of the other recorded drills. But 40s don’t always notably translate to anything on the field. For example, if you are blazing fast but you can’t start and stop, then you’d better hope to have a hole you can run through with a full head of steam. Also, how useful is a 40 time measured without pads or holding the ball? Especially for a RB? Just things to think about when you see these posted times. That said, I do realize that 4.3 is fast a fuck, and I’m not shaking a finger at it. Just contextualizing the grain of salt

40 times and their accuracy don’t always tell the story.  I see a kid that is decisive with his reads and has nice burst and purpose. He delivers contact and picks yards forward.

DBs are not catching him from behind and he is quite often beating a good angle. 4.6 is faster than most people realize.

We may be looking at the best RB room we have had in a long time.
