Pre-Selection Final Four Predictions, Etc

Submitted by twohooks on

Are your top four teams in generic order? Who is the Mid Major sleeper no one has talked about except for you? What major school(s) that are in and around the bubble that can make a run (Michigan)?. I am of clear mind and understanding that brackets and match ups play a factor but i would like an analysis for what has been catching your eyeballs over the 2010-11 hoop season. It is paramount that I teach "Sally J" and "Wendy F" a lesson in my office pool this year.

Really can't predict anything til you see the bracket and matchups.  Lots of teams (including michigan) have potential to make a run if the bracket is favorable

I think OSU is the best team but match them up against another team with a big power post and they're going to have a fight. Have to see what happens with the brackets.

As for sleepers, there aren't a ton of candidates, what with the bubble being so weak this year. Belmont could give someone a colossal headache in the first round. Otherwise, need to see what the games are.

There are a few teams that match up pretty well with OSU. I think if they played Kansas or Pitt down the road it would be a pretty good game. Diebler being the sniper that he is, makes OSU tough to beat though.

I agree that Belmont could be a problem for quite a few teams.

Michigan can make a run i think.  It all depends on our matchups.  I think the 3 and 4 seeds are really weak this year.  We'll probably be a 10 or 11 seed, I think we can make the sweet 16.

Wofford and Belmont are 2 to watch out for. St John's can make some noise with their senior-laden team. Also, if you have the best player in the country on your team, you have a shot to beat anybody....I'm talking about you Jimmer.

can we predict the outcome when we don't know who is playing? I think we can make a run, it all depends on the MATCH-UP.GO BLUE!!!

not many teams have a 1-2 punch like johnson and moore, regardless of them folding the last 2 games, they are still going to be at least a 3 seed, and depending on the draw i could easily see them making the trip to the final four that was predicted before hummel even went down.

I thought originally that Harvard could make a decent run, but since they aren't an AQ and I doubt they get an at large bid obviously that can't happen

Top teams in my opinion are Kansas, Ohio St, North Carolina and Notre Dame. I thought Louisville could be a sleeper but their run in the Big East takes that out of the equation. I would look for Gonzaga to possibly make some noise, they usually cause chaos when flying under the radar.
