OT: Terry Bradshaw is not a Saban Fan...calls his salary "Shamefull"

Submitted by Wolverine In Iowa 68 on

Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw was on "Pete" Finebaum's show debating with a die-hard Bama fan when he went off.  Terry is NOT a fan of Saban in any way, declaring Saban hates people, and Steve Spurrier was a better coach based on personality.

Terry is overpaid at any salary.

$aban is worth every cent to Alabama, Urban Meyer is worth every cent to OSU and Harbaugh is to UM. This is not even debateable.

trying to get under the skin of Phyliss. He went on to tell her that he told Bear Bryant that he did not want to go to Alabama because he wanted an education, lol

Shameful?

Since his "workers" aren't being paid I suppose it is somewhat disappointing, but I mean CEO's get paid insane amounts too. It's not their fault.  Their salary is dictated by a board of ex-CEOs and friends in the industry unless it is a private company. That is way more shameful.

Saban just happens to be positioned directly behind a money truck. At least he is good at his job. Dan Mullen gets roughly half Sabans salary for nowhere near half as good a job. That's more approaching shameful territory if anything.

Terry Bradshaw also said his favorite game when he was a kid was Mr. Potato Head.

He told Finebaum that if he made a game called Mr. Dick Head and put himself on the cover of the box, he could make more money than Saban.

is pretty ridiculous and so is Harbaughs and many other coaches as well as professional athletes.  Look I don't be grudge anyone for making the money they are paid, but sometimes I look at our society and just shake my head.

I love sports as much as anyone but in the big picture is playing or coaching a sport really making a difference in our society? Isn't being a doctor, teacher, firefighter, even construction and I could go on bring more value to our everyday lives compared to sports?

I know many people will say it's entertainment and it generates money and I'm not arguing, just thinking out loud that in a grand scale because a guy can throw a football he's paid millions?????  I don't know sometimes I think our society has things a little backwards. I'm a big fan of sports watching and paying big money to attend so I include myself in there, but as I get older I do sometimes wonder....

Been a sports nut all my life. At the end of the day it's just a game. Everybody goes home. But when an E1 private is knocking down $1700 a MONTH, something ain't right. Free market and all that, but come on man, Nick Sabah ain't diving on a grenade to save you. That $1700 a month private might though.

Grew up a Steelers fan watching them win 4 Super Bowls and so always like Terry Bradshaw.  Not the most intellectual but always good for a laugh and was a darn good QB.  Hate Saban so I'm on board.
