OT: Redskins and Rams trade
Washington Redskins traded three first-round draft picks and a second-round pick to St. Louis for second overall pick in a trade first reported by @JayGlazer.
Umm, cough.
Lets break this down:
Washington gets: St. Louis's 2nd over all pick this year
St. Louis gets: Washington's Next 3 1st round picks, and a 2nd rounder.
Got it. Nothing to see here, just Daniel Snyder being Daniel Snyder.
EDIT: And with the 1st and 2nd overall picks in the 2013 NFL Draft, the St. Louis Rams select.
Sweet. Now I can stop being excited about the Browns getting RGIII and maybe actually having a playmaker in Cleveland for once.
Now....could we trade the 4th pick in the draft for the 28th pick and two 5th rounders? We LOVE 5th and 6th rounders........
I heard a rumor about the 4th and a 6th rounder for Freeney, which I don't like but I've heard it. My list would go Richardson (if we dont resign Hillis) Blackmon, then Claiborne. Tomorrow I'll probably flip to Blackmon first but I figure we can get a good big WR with the 2nd 1st rounder.
Trading down a few spots, if Kalil is still on the board. I wouldn't mind Richardson or Blackmon either though, but I still think we could trade down to 6, if Minny doesn't take Kalil and get a couple of those picks that the Rams just received.

if i were a browns fan i would want claiborne. claiborne and haden could eventually form the best CB tandem in the nfl.
SHTOOOOPID
probably felt good about all their picks they gained and it worked out for playoffs....but Im pretty sure the Giants have enjoyed their 2 SB rings and their QB as well.
Friendly advice, mark this as "OT:" then your thread title.
St Louis' GM is laughing his ass off right now.
I love giving Redskins fans crap...they are like Lions fans, circa 2000.
we are like lions fans, but with Super Bowl rings. lol

LMAO!!
we are like lions fans, but with Super Bowl rings. lol
Isn't there a statute of limitations regarding the playing of this card? If I don't remember it, I don't care.
of a team that has never even been to a Super Bowl (Browns)....NO!

How good of an owner would Donald Trump be?
he was single handedly responsible for destroying the entire league. He led a crusade of 2 bit owners to move from summer football to fall and immediately filed an antitrust lawsuit against the tv networks for favoring the NFL. He eventually won the lawsuit and was awarded a record winfall of $1. The USFL was no more.
unbelievable
Insanity/courage wolf would have been more apt IME.
Unless David Molk had a better combine than you guys thought.
well...41 IS a lot of reps...
LMAO at Redskins!!
RDT, you just like our Michigan family. I love that you are so at home with us that you are now posting random bits of news onour site just because you want to sahre with us. Tell us the truth, you have started wearing more blue in the past few months. By the time September rolls around, you might find yourself humming The Victors.
I didnt realize Washington was only 1 pick away from being that good.
So RG3 to the Redskins? Looks like it.
IMO
RG3 will go on to be a much better QB than even Randall Cunnigham was (Im only comparing athletic type QBs)....the kid is smart and marketable and he is going to be a:
FUCKING STAR
in the NFL. RG3 will be 3X as big as Cam Cameron....because he is in Washington...(or will be)...and he has more upside and doesnt have the slimy past.
Dan Snyder will make MILLIONS on RG3....and that team will always be at least competitive with a stud playmaker at QB.
Snyder may make some mistakes...but this is not one of them. Id trade 3 1st rounders and a 2nd for this for sure.
4 unknown players who could range anywhere in the first 64 of their upcoming drafts...
for a freaking sure thing.
Done Deal.
Go back and read what I wrote again.
I never said Cam "could not play"... but whatever...
Point is RG3 will be a bigger STAR in the NFL...
and dont fucking kid yourself if you dont think the NFL wants more star power.
haha tough guy see ya round here...go blue!
The real issue is why are you talking about the Ravens offensive coordinator? I think we have some Cam confusion going on here...
I'm not sure Cam Cameron liked that you said that...
org message edited.... gonna have a drink... and chill it is Friday
Go Blue
this is just too good
edit: missed locking this tomfoolery in by that much
Will RGIII translate to the NFL? Maybe. Will he bust horribly? Maybe. There are no more valuable draft picks than NFL first round selections. To not have one for 2 straight years, and be without a very valuable probable high 2nd is highly questionable. If RGIII busts, Washington has bought their way into 10 years of NFL hell.
no offense RTD but as a lifelong Skins fan i dont mind this move. we have waste draft picks for a decade and havent had a future qb in longer time than that. They would have been the "same ol skins" if they would have done what some wanted and get Manning. Give me RG3 over a 36 year old qb with 4 neck surgeries any day.
I hadn't thought of it that way
RGIII may turn out to be a star, but that's a huge price to pay.

...turn out to be a star, but I wouldnt trade 3 #1's for him.
Risk versus reward. Only time will tell whether this was a good decision or not. I love RGIII, but it is indeed a steep price to pay to get him.

3 1st's and a 2nd rounder. Great googly moogly.
I feel sorry for RGIII. There is no way they are going to be any good without any first rounders for 3 years... that's a horrible plan. Wow. Way to fill one hole by creating many many more.
