i really hope half the team gets suspended and they get waxed by Mallett in the bowl game; however, i have this weird feeling they're gonna get off with just a slap on the wrist. it would be just like the ncaa to try and minimize the damages so they can make as much money off this BCS game as possible. still trying to figure out which organization is more corrupt: ncaa or fifa?

All this Buckeye talk has really been getting under my skin?
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:46 AM ^
These pretzels are making me thirsty?

any seinfeld reference gets a +1 from me. Happy Festivus!
December 23rd, 2010 at 1:36 PM ^
with the feets of strength
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:48 AM ^
I would rather the Big 10 not look like garbage in the bowl game personally. If the Buckeyes are going to get punished for something, players getting tattoos is not something that makes me think, "yeah, crucify those fuckers!"

Twitterverse saying that Herron, Pryor, Posey, Thomas, and Adams to miss first five games in 2011.
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:56 AM ^
Is it the photograph, or does Pryor have an unusually small head? I thought it would be larger with the ego he has to carry around.
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:04 PM ^
everybody small-heads.
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:07 PM ^
Everyone steals from people, pay nuthin for no tatts, kills people, murder people, whatever.
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:53 AM ^
WBNS radio in CBus just reported Pryor, Herron, and Posey to be suspended for forst 5 games of next season. That's a loss to Miami (YTM), and Little borther at least.
Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus...
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:16 AM ^
Let me save you the trouble of watching the video.
Jim Tressel - "We asked all parties involved and everyone has pinky swore that there were no major violations. One player did receive $5 in benefits which he has repaid. We will be reporting to the NCAA in 'minor violation 2010 #78'"
OSU AD - "Whatever Jim says"
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:20 AM ^
Suspended forever... Just a hunch
But seriously, I see nothing coming from this. If OSU was having a down year than yes they would be punished hard, but since they are a golden boy for the NCAA it'll be nothing more than a slap on the wrist...
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:24 AM ^
I am sure someone has mentioned this in one of the multiple OSU Tat-gate threads, but what was the result of the Wisconsin Shoe-gate? It would seem like that would be a precedent.
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:30 AM ^
He wanted everyone to know this
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:58 AM ^
Boom. Herroned.
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:23 AM ^
Guarantee they admit they did wrong, and have already paid the tattoo joint for the tattoo's. How did they get the money? Well that is protected by Ferpa....
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:49 AM ^
but next year's star receiver won't be able to get straight teeth

1 scholarship and 10 practice hours for
1 scholarship and 20 hours for
and we are not penalizing Justin Boren for his
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:27 AM ^
if your waiting for the NCAA to do the right thing...OSU and Jim Tressel have been
breaking NCAA rules since the get go.....
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:32 AM ^
I don't think they were just signing cocktail napkins. Reports are that they were signing OSU garb, which belonged to the University. All of their gear is supplied by the University, and needs to be returned when they are done, including shoes, gloves, jersey's, all of it. To sign a pair of cleats, and trade them away is theft, and from what I have heard, they have recovered some of these items, with players signatures and numbers on them. We'll see what the NCAA chooses to do. Didn't Alabama get clipped pretty hard for 'Bookgate?
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:44 AM ^
What things do they really have to give back. What about all the free workout clothes/sweatsuits they get? Gloves smell after 1 use they really have to give those and their cleats back? They also have to give the jersey's with their names on it back? I am not trying to be condescending I am really interested, doesnt anyone including you Boknowsall, have any first hand info on what can be kept/has to be returned. I had friends that played at the D2 level and they were sponsored by Adidas and they got to keep everything.
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:50 AM ^
They may allow you to keep them, but while you are in school you can not sell them. AJ Green got a 4 game suspension for selling a bowl jersey for $1000.00. Not allowed. It is still the property of the University.
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:53 AM ^
Where I played the budget for those things wasn't high so there wasn't much for us to keep at the end of the day...So I found this very interesting. Thanks for the info.
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:06 PM ^
besides, nothing touches this skin more than once but velour
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:38 AM ^
Jim Tressel...." We have conducted an internal investigation in the matter of the tats and have found that Cam Newtons father did purposely sell his son to the highest bidder.......ah......ah....I rest my case".
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:35 AM ^
I just don't see this as anything to get fired up about. I mean tattoos for autographs? Really? "Pitchforks for all my friends!"
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:41 AM ^
$1300 worth of sporting goods? getting into movies for free for four years? free booze?
because all of them have tangible value. this isn't just cars or bust.
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:14 PM ^
I take it back.
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:42 AM ^
Not sure if you know this, but some tattoos, especially the bigger ones that most football players seem to get can cost quite a bit of cash...
Specially if they are giving away the Universities clothing etc.. with autographs
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:43 AM ^
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:38 AM ^
Gonna go on and on for 2 hours about the history of tattoos and how they have developed over the years. Explain that this is a minor blip on the radar of OSU football, and everything, rest assured, is corrected. After that, he will invite the media for coffee and donuts and free candy canes.
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:40 AM ^
because if we're gonna do some LOLOSULOL i'd at least like to not have an epic title error

From the twitter guy. Unless we're talking about different Pryor's...December 23rd, 2010 at 11:59 AM ^
ESPN just confirmed (lol credibility) that Pryor is one of the five.

BEST QUARTERBACKS OF ALL TIME
AMIRITE
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:17 PM ^
I would have to think this greatly increases the chances that some of those five players turn pro rather than play a season where they have to sit for five games.
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:07 PM ^
Of course not... There would be no greater Christmas present in the world than if that was the case though.
Edit: Greatest Christmas gift ever...
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:59 AM ^
last 5 games.
December 23rd, 2010 at 12:04 PM ^
Reading this makes me glad Pyror chose osu. How could one want to sell his gold pants and especially his B1G ring?! You are a true class act Mr. Pryor. Guess he better start selling those hubcaps off his Corvette.
