OT: Lions vs Bucs

Submitted by Adrian on

I know its preseason and all but this is the dress rehearsal supposedly. Lions are looking clueless. Patricias game management this half has to be worse than Caldwells

Patricia is a disaster. The defense is somehow worse than it was last year.  Quinn's decision not to address the defense in any serious manner just adds to the growing evidence that he is incompetent. His '17 draft looks really bad right about now and his OL signings have not been overwhelming.

Again, Patriots are good because of Belichick's singular genius and Tom Brady.  Quinn and Patricia were hangers-on.

Ssshhh! Don’t tell Quattro or else he won’t have a reason to post on this blog. Honestly the only reason he posts here only has to do with the Lions playing on Sunday like he’s some kind of truth-speaker. When in all reality he’s a troll just waiting for them to fuck up. A miserable existence for sure. I lump him and his posts in with OSU and MSU trolls.

Hey I know it’s hard to grasp. But these games don’t matter and don’t indicate how good a team is going to be. You really think Patricia is showing anything on the defensive side of the ball. There’s a reason his defenses are always in the top 10 in points allowed

Honestly Rudock looks pretty good just about every time he gets action. I don't hate on Stafford but that contract extension means the Lions can't trade him if they stink. Given the Cassel signing it wouldn't surprise me if they deal Jake since he has no shot at the job and might fetch an immediately useful return. Of course in that scenario he surely becomes Brady 2.0 and leaves Detroit fans wondering what could have been!

Don’t really understand criticism of Stafford. He’s borderline top 10 Qb in the league, but definitely top 15. And he’s never had a running game in his entire career. Plus he’s been on the Lions, which has been a dysfunctional franchise his entire career. He’s the least of reasons why we don’t win. He’s got a big contract but what else are you going to do? Let him go or trade him and risk not getting anything close to him in a trade, free agency or the draft. He’s the Lions best Qb since Bobby Layne.

This is a guy that multiple times could've left and been just as wealthy in any other city, and, shockingly, he and his wife chose to stay here because he appreciated the organization making him the No.1 pick and wanted to honor his commitment to turning it around.

He's a top 20 QB that actually wants to play for the Lions, that's pretty much all you can ask for at this point.
