Im enjoying some Bell's Lager of the Lakes while tending to my wounded dog and listening to some Fleet Foxes. Happy offseason team, cheers and only a little over a month from some football and the end of these threads.

I like it.  It tastes pretty darn smooth, although you do get a slight sense of corn (since that is what they use).  It's cheap as well -- and that's generally why people rave about it, the quality is high versus the price -- $20 for 750mL, $40 for a handle.

Just had one of those "No Shit!" moments and needed to share:

Watching Batman Begins and there's this blond kid that has two lines in it and I'm like "Holy Shit that's the kid that plays Prince Joffrey in 'Game of Thrones'."  Sure enough, I was right.

I am a little worried I was able to recognize a child actor 6 years between the two roles I recognized.  But whatever.

Chianti Classico from Banfi. Just some decently priced Italian wine I found at the liquor store. Never had it before. It's okay.

EDIT - also re-reading "The Dark Knight Returns" for the 5th or 6th time.

Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale

IPA, 7.5% ABV

First time trying it.  I'm a pretty big IPA guy and I consider myself picky.  I give it  thumbs up.  Similar flavor to Bells Two Hearted.

Wife (who never drinks) got super drunk tonight with some old law school friends. When we got home our 10 week old puppy pooped on the floor. Yup, I've got my hands full. Sipping on some Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale.

but at my age, Fri and Sat back-to-back are becoming more rare with each passing month. Although I did manage to get in two solid nights of partying at the local cheers during the week, so still got at least a quarter of gas left in the tank.

and I'm drinking my all time favorite. Alpine Nelson...Nelson hops from new Zealand. Also just cooked an amazing meal for my kids birthday celebration with their grandparents. filets, roasted potatoes, squash, grilled corn on the cobb, grilled pineapple...and a birthday pie (cherry apple crisp)... fat now.

Rum isn't something I normally drink, but I have leftovers from last night, which was an outdoor pina colada night. Honestly it's not as bad as I remember; maybe I'll pick up a good bottle once I'm done being a poor student and give it a try.

Also, MGoBrewMom, thanks for making me instantly hungry. I'm insanely jealous of everyone who got to eat that delicious sounding meal.

but I'm a couple states away at the moment. The Northwestern game will probably be the next time I get to have any of it. Until then, it's my spaghetti sauce and pulled chicken, with the girlfriend making some gourmet spicy chicken salad and kabobs. Other than that I'm stuck with things far inferior to your menu from tonight.

Alone playing NCAA 13 drinking Svedka... that I put in a Ciroc bottle

That I have kept for months... and routinely fill with Svedka... I offer it to my clients when I have meetings (usually 1-2 a day) Until they can prove to me that they can tell somethings up I shall continue on this path lol

I learned this as a teenager when we used to fill Remy Martin bottles with Paul Masson for the "ladies" who fancied themselves cognac drinkers lmao

Pic Related:It's me enjoying a swig of Svedka.
