If we win, anybody know which time slot we'd be on Saturday for the round of 32? I can find the list of time slots but can't find which part of the bracket is when.
|02/05/2018 - 12:54pm||Maybe you might not have but||
Maybe you might not have but with all the hype around Henson many people (you're right, not everyone) did want to play the true freshman in '98.
Other than that we're saying the same thing. INITIALLY people wanted Henson but by the time Brady was a senior he had won the fanbase over.
|02/05/2018 - 10:53am||What a dumb comment||
It's true everyone initially wanted Henson, but once Brady outplayed Henson and won the starting job that stopped being the case. Brady proved the fanbase wrong as a senior and the fanbase started supporting him.
So no, don't be a moron and compare the situation to O'Korn.
|01/08/2018 - 10:43am||Another great post in this series||
You have to wonder how immature, petty and sad one has to be in order to so obviously attempt to sabotage all the hard work a bunch of 18 to 22 year olds put in to a game.
Did not realize that Fulmer was not that person. Interesting.
|12/12/2017 - 11:32am||Love the attitude. Frankly,||
Love the attitude. Frankly, nobody should feel entitled/anointed as a starter after 4 games and 4 TD passes anyway. Sounds like Peters' dad raised his kid the right way. I still believe Brandon has a massive future at Michigan. LETS GO.
|09/27/2017 - 12:21pm||Bush has his head on a swivel||
Bush has his head on a swivel to read the route and the QB's intentions. When he hits the receiver the QB is in the midst of transitioning from rolling out to pass to becoming a ballcarrier. He has plenty of help covering the QB so he destroys the route instead. Instinctive and correct play IMO.
|06/21/2017 - 3:07pm||Not a fair comparison||
Half of Stauskas' numbers was from his freshman year when he was a developing role player. You have to compare Stauskas' peak (sophomore year) with Caris' peak (upperclassmen years when not injured). Stauskas would have a clear offensive edge.
Stauskas was Big 10 POTY and an All-American. Caris is an unfortunate "what-if" story of injuries. Even with Caris' edge as a rebounder and defender, this shouldn't be close in my opinion. Personally, I'd have Stauskas as the 2-guard over Walton and Caris at the 3.

Apostrophes can be used for contractions not just possessive nouns. Like can't instead of cannot. So A's instead of Athletics is not grammatically incorrect.

|05/05/2015 - 1:29pm||The issue||
is not that Clark got drafted (because he does deserve a second chance). The issue is the Seahawks pretending like they did an actual investigation and then publicly stating that they think the victim is full of it.
|04/10/2014 - 12:46am||#1 is||
just a silly question. If golf is your favorite sport than you probably consider the Master's the best sporting event on the calendar. For me it's Wimbledon and The Champions League final. For the average American sports fan it's March Madness and the Super Bowl.
|03/27/2014 - 2:15pm||Actually it does.||
I think enforcing quality of comments is good business for this specific type of blog. I wish other sites did this more.
|03/24/2014 - 3:44pm||Is it?||
Scott is a great defender but below-average offensive player. Williams is a terrible offensive player. Thompson is a great athlete but a decent player. Loving has potential but had an underwhelming freshman season. And Russell is an unknown.
Unless Russell lives up to his 5 star recruiting hype immediately, this sounds like a bubble team to me.

No. Scientists had previously taken into account that the universe had expanded faster than the speed of light during inflation. That's why the observable universe centered around Earth is considered to be 46 billion light years in radius. This discovery doesn't change that.
|03/17/2014 - 9:56pm||Pretty cool||
Though I wish whoever compiled the data would've shown how these kinds of teams perform relative to their seed and how that compares to teams with an equal offense/defense balance and those with subpar offenses and superb defences.

"Gone are the days of dumbing down the playbook for one player. We have recruited in a completely different direction than for the offense Devin would be best suited to run. "
While Denard was a spread QB, Devin is a pro-style QB with excellent mobility OR a spread QB.
I don't see how we "dumbed down the playbook for one player" last year, or since Devin became a starter.
|01/10/2014 - 4:51pm||Public schools have to report salaries||
under the FOIA I believe. Since Northwestern, Vandy, Baylor, and Stanford are probably not amongst the top paying schools I would say it is pretty easy. Publications like USA Today release salary rankings for coaches all the time.

We have to compensate for the last 100 years. It should be played at the Big House.

|11/06/2013 - 1:12pm||Crawford as a ball hog||
is an outdated narrative. In the last 5 or so seasons he's settled nicely into his role as a primary scorer on the second unit. If you watch him with the Clippers now he plays within the confines of the offense.

please come play guard at Michigan!!!
|11/05/2013 - 10:54pm||I have mixed feelings about Brandon.||
But WTF does that have to do with supporting the players, the coaches, and everything else that Michigan Football is?
The athletic director accounts for less than 1% of my emotional investment in Michigan Football. Even if he was the world's biggest loser I would still support the team. Especially considering the players and coaches are especially likeable, even if they are underperforming. The fact that you have jumped off the ship based on the athletic director of all things makes me think that you are a pathetic "fan".

I hope you have a son who becomes a big muscular football player with a deep voice who turns out to be gay so you can realise how wrong you are.
If you're reply to this is "omg political correctness is ruining america even though I just stereotyped and offended gay people" than GTFO.

This is not a shameless plug. Your clips are a vital part of the mgocommunity.
|10/23/2013 - 3:12pm||Safety is NOT a position you rotate||
Any other position on the defense, maybe. But not at safety. The risk of being culpable for a big play is too high at the position. A starting safety doesn't come off the field on most half-decent defenses.
I'm sure Mattison thinks that the risk of him giving up a touchdown in his complex defense by being on the field for even several plays is too much. I'd love to give Thomas snaps too. He's such a talent. But we're trying to win games THIS year.
Also Gordon and Wilson have been pretty good this year.
|10/19/2013 - 1:57pm||They were poor. Their||
They were poor. Their replacements have been worse. That doesn't mean they weren't the problem last year.
|10/11/2013 - 1:52pm||That's true.||
Yea I agree with you guys that he should move full-time. He has the speed to be receiver, not just an oversized jump ball specialist.
I actually think he looks faster than Mike Evans - the A&M jump ball specialist that has been torching defenses all season.

He already has....if last game is any indication.

Passive aggressive? That's neither passive nor aggressive nor passive-aggressive. It's straight-up sarcasm....i.e. he called you an idiot to your internet face.
|10/07/2013 - 2:54pm||Then he ran into||
Gallon in the open field and tripped over. He's a bowling ball at the moment - I haven't seen him make many (or any) good cuts. Regardless of his size, I think it has to do with rhythm and experience. Once you get more carries the game slows down for you and you start reading where defenders are. I'm really excited to see what he can do once he get's more time.
|10/07/2013 - 10:15am||Awesome.||
He also needs one more pick six to tie the record for that as well. He's the man.
|10/01/2013 - 4:59pm||I don't think so.||
Summer league performance has been an awful indicator of NBA performance.
He certainly did look athletically overmatched in 1-on-1 situations, which is a concern, but people were kind of expecting that anyway. The summer league is the worse setting to showcase the playmaking skills that are Trey's strengths. It's most conducive to veteran pure scorers - guys like Gary Neal that blow up and become key role players.
Most analysts on these sites still think Trey has the best chance to be ROY.

Would really love to hear Oregon DC Nick Allioti's perspective on this.
|09/23/2013 - 8:34pm||BASKETBALL: For most games||
For most games there will be more than 1500 students not showing up. So just what exactly is so bad about giving Michigan State tickets to the most loyal fans??
If you want to attend 3 games a year, just buy tickets on stubhub. Don't take up a student ticket and then not attend 85% of the games.
There is a culture of being fashionably late to football games, especially amongst the greek crowd (I was often guilty of this when I was a student). If you want to create more memories then start tailgating 30 minutes earlier and show up on time. Or do what I did and continue tailgating after the games. Partying 14 hours every Saturday vs partying 14 hours and 30 minutes won't affect the quality of your "memories" with your friends. I promise you.
This weak schedule crap is total BS. Students don't show up in good numbers or on time for non-marquee B10 games either.
This attitude of being needed to be "courted" by the athletic department in order to be loyal fans or future donors is pathetic.

Nitpicking of course.

|09/03/2013 - 12:17pm||Sample sizes are still too small||
My favorite run from Green was on the touchdown, where he lowered his shoulder, bounced off a tackler, spun and fell forward into the endzone. I think that showed great natural running skills.
Also despite his size, Green is still faster than Smith.
Smith is fun to watch though, because he seems like the most violent runner on the team.
|09/02/2013 - 11:10pm||Sorry did||
I miss some news about him in the offseason?
