We are not Ohio State.

I'm younger than that now.

Repetitive threads that need to die...
- Helmet Stickers
- What Hoke traditions do you want to see stay/go
- What Brandon tranditions do you want to see stay/go
- 3-4 Defense?
- What assistant coaches do you want?
- Who should be the next S&C coach? (aka "Bring Barwis back?)
...I miss any?

It's the thread every night that is annoying...and not because there are too many of them. It's just because if it's not Friday night, 6 people post in them before the thread dies.
Also, IMO, there generally shouldn't be a drinking thread if there is an open thread at the same time.
Becuase isn't that the point? Watching OSU and Bama, isn't that a drinking thread in itself?
I digress.

Double post (repetitive...see what I did?)
Add "grad transfer threads" to the list...

I don't care about helmet stickers either way. People spend too much time worrying about it. If Harbaugh wants to use them, he will.

Yeah the big footballs were a little too obnoxious... Does anyone know if Stanford did helmet stickers before Harbaugh?

It wasn't the awesome coaching...it was the stickers!
My GOD we have to step away and think sometimes.
Sure they may provide some motivation, but what player is out on the field thinking "alright, 3rd and 4...I have to get this block so I can get me another sticker!"
Let's be serious.

'97 Wolverines turn out just fine.
In fact, have any of our national championship teams won with stickers?

Against. Anything making it harder to see M's one of a kind helmet (yeah, yeah, Delaware and Princeton) should be killed with fire.
January 3rd, 2015 at 1:42 PM ^
and the rationale behind it having to do with not wanting to elevate individual achievements over the team. plus there is the pre-harbaugh thought of 'what if we were so bad nobody earned a sticker unless you got one for, say, "shoes on correct feet".
that said, if they came back i wouldn't lose sleep over it, especially if done well.

So you won't need to kill him with fire.

I didn't know Bo put himself on player's helmets, but I would agree in that case a physician is probably a better alternative to a flamethrower.

The helmets look so much better without them. And if you want to talk tradition—for the vast majority of Michigan's history, we haven't had them.

Ahhh there you are my noble helmet sticker foe. Waiting for me to make my move as I have in so manyhelmet stickers threads beforehand so you can pounce, like the sinister red army you proudly display, and try and stop the invisable hand of helmet stickers with the march of the hemet sticker free prolateriat.
But history is on my side my esteemed friend. Just as democracy, freedom and manball vanquished communist football, so too will helmet stickers rise proudly and plant the flag of liberty on the backs of your helmet sticker free workers. Just as it did in the 43 "should we have helmet stickers" threads before this one.

The inevitable march of History toward Communist Football cannot be stopped, Comrade. It can only be delayed.
The collective, the collective, the collective!

I thought they were neat as a boy. If I had to bet, I'd put my money on them returning.

I'm agnostic on the issue of whether they should come back, but to say we have "nothing creative like that" is crazy. Look at my avatar and tell me it's not pretty awesome.
I think the old sticker design was cool, although it did clutter the helmet a bit.

Nah, "agnostic" is more apporpriate . . . I have feelings on the issue but am ultimately unsure which side of the debate I'm on.

I may be offended but I am not sure.

I think the sticker design looks great, but it just doesn't look good on the winged helmet. IMO, the bone stickers on the Georgia helmet are the best helmet/sticker combo.
January 3rd, 2015 at 5:41 PM ^
If they go with stickers something less cluttering. Might I suggest a minature block "M"?
January 3rd, 2015 at 5:38 PM ^
Merriam-Webster's second definition of agnostic agrees with your usage.
2: a person who is unwilling to commit to an opinion about something <political agnostics>

I don't know what Bo and Moeller set for criteria, but this is supposedly Tressel's sheet explaining who got what. Almost all of the sticker criteria are team oriented which would explain the disparity between Jone's playing time and stickered up helmet.
