I love it, the hit Tressel and Ohio St. are taking in the media is more than I could have even hoped for.  I keep hearing the Bucks referred to as this generations Miami Hurricanes. They are the laughing stock of college football and now everyone is bringing up how Tressel did the exact same stuff at Youngstown St. I think this one's gonna get bloody.

The comments are awesome. I'm loving it. It goes from construcyive criticism to wildly irrational nonsense in .5 seconds.

Did OSU fans have as much fun two years ago as I'm having right now?

EDIT: Not my baby...found on google.

I was actually wondering how the OSU student newspaper would come out on this, I think it shows a lot of journalistic integrity calling for more serious penalties.  Those students should be commended.  (FWIW, I would hope that the Daily would have the same standards if we were in a similar situation, e.g. if MSC DBrandon decided not to punish the program a year ago...)

10 to 1 the people involved with that article will find their tires slashed and/or be the victim of muggings in the next week due to a curious spike in "random" crimes on the OSU campus.

in Columbus are downright nasty, dirty, classless people.  There are plenty of stories of UM tires being slashed and windows smashed.

I am not lumping them all together as my sample size is probably very small but it only takes a 'few bad apples to spoil the bushel" as mom always said.

That last line is a great quote, and I'm not used to praising Buckeye's writing product.  The fact that the Lantern published that article makes me respect OSU quite a bit more then I did before.  If you flipped the situation (god forbid) I can imagine a lot of Walmart Wolverines writing it off on the intertubes as no big deal, but I'm pretty sure a lot of Michigan's student body and alumni would be equally upset.

Yes, but it isn't counted as a Michigan win. It's like at USC or with the Fab Five. Basically the NCAA says, "stop looking, nothing went on here." The record would revert back to either:

57-43-6 or

57-44*-6

*OSU has vacated its 2010 victory.

but i am going to be so pissed if/when tOSU gets next to nothing for punishment while we had a full on investigation and jihad against us for stretchgate. even trying to be objective/unbiased, i cant see any way this warrants less than a years suspension. he knew about it for months and did NOTHING. how much more cut and dry could "failing to promote an atmosphere of compliance" can you get?
