OSU Playoff Competition
After watching OSU against Michigan, I really thought they were untouchable. After 3 quarters so far there are a few evident things.
#1 OSU will have it much tougher than thought against LSU and Clemson who can easily match their athleticism.
#2. Ohio State is much better coached than Michigan as evidenced by their second half defensive adjustments.
#3. Wisconsin is much better coached than Michigan. They have a great freshman safety from Inkster, Michigan. Why in the hell is this kid not starting at Michigan?

Fire Don Brown. Gattis is good.

I agree with this.

Coaching makes players develop into star players. They can also turn star prospects into busts.

Just wait until the game is over...

LSU is looking scary right now.
December 7th, 2019 at 11:12 PM ^
For the majority of the last 20 years people have been saying "Man if LSU just had a quarterback". They finally got one.
December 8th, 2019 at 1:07 AM ^
They have Joe Brady.
December 7th, 2019 at 11:01 PM ^
True, true and true. Both these teams blew us out. We are a long way off from making the B1G Championship Game.
December 7th, 2019 at 11:06 PM ^
Wisconsin is no wear near as talented as OSU but the Buckeyes adjusted to crush Wisky’s offense. Michigan looks like a high school team to these teams. If we play Alabama it will be embarrassing guys
December 7th, 2019 at 11:37 PM ^
Saban is going to push Harbaugh’s fudge in so deep that Jimmy will be pooping out of his mouth.
December 8th, 2019 at 10:39 AM ^
This is what even a little bit of moderation would be good for. Instead we get the almost endless slide. Will not be at all surprised if Brian sells up and runs for city council.
December 7th, 2019 at 11:02 PM ^
Whenever I hear someone talk about "halftime adjustments" without explaining those adjustments, I know immediately they have nothing to offer.
December 7th, 2019 at 11:14 PM ^
Hey Cam! Do you know what adjustments are? Do you make them on Madden in your parents basement?
December 7th, 2019 at 11:17 PM ^
Can you elaborate on what adjustments were made? What specific schematic changes led to improved play from Ohio State?
December 7th, 2019 at 11:27 PM ^
Seven

I believe the man with the duffle bag full of bills holds it up and says, "if y'all keep getting your assess whooped, this goes with me!"
December 8th, 2019 at 3:21 AM ^
scfanny can elaborate on how much of a troll he is. He's good at that at least.
December 8th, 2019 at 7:42 AM ^
Based on my observations, he's not one for elaboration. But, he coached for 20+ years! (You're supposed to accept his authority and move along politely. No questions.)

Four threads on Ohio State in the past hour
on a michigan sports blog
i am in hell
December 7th, 2019 at 11:04 PM ^
Look at OP's posting history. He's an OSU troll.
December 7th, 2019 at 11:09 PM ^
That's impossible; no OSU fan would be on Mgoblog while there team was playing.
December 7th, 2019 at 11:12 PM ^
Seems odd of them to wrap their entire sense of dignity and self respect around beating Michigan, when they apparently don’t give a damn for the whole state.
December 7th, 2019 at 11:09 PM ^
He’s right, regardless. Michigan isn’t well coached and I’m not sure why. Harbaugh’s 2015 team was really well coached. His more recently ones have been sloppy.
December 7th, 2019 at 11:11 PM ^
Poorly coached teams don't have a S&P rating of 7 over five years.
December 7th, 2019 at 11:20 PM ^
No, but they do have a shit ton of mental errors and stupid procedural penalties, but no wins over their main rival.
December 8th, 2019 at 12:18 AM ^
Sounds like Alabama this year...
December 8th, 2019 at 3:26 AM ^
Like Clemson in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013?
December 8th, 2019 at 10:01 AM ^
Comparing UM to Clemson ? UM is (or was) considered a Blueblood and Clemson really hasn't taken of until Dabo was promoted from his asst. coaching position.
December 7th, 2019 at 11:23 PM ^
S&P ratings are about as useless as WAR in baseball. Results on the field are what matter, not some arbitrary rating system someone came up with to justify "good teams" that cant prove it on the field.
- 0-5 against Ohio State
- No Division or Conference Championships
- 1-3 in bowl games
These are the stats that matter.
December 8th, 2019 at 12:20 AM ^
Uhh, I was assured from this board that bowl games were meaningless when people were justifying why it was ok for all our players to sit out. Now we are supposed to count them as one of only 3 stats out that matter? Let’s make up our mind here guys.
December 8th, 2019 at 12:40 AM ^
If you nerds would stop looking at stats and actually watch the games you would see what we're talking about. These are the same stats that say DB is a great defensive coordinator, lol.
December 8th, 2019 at 1:17 AM ^
He most definitely is....against average to below average teams, for sure.
December 8th, 2019 at 1:12 AM ^
What good is the S&P? It doesn't match what is seen in the real world.
December 7th, 2019 at 11:41 PM ^
Remember Harbaugh won in 2015 with Hoke’s team.
December 7th, 2019 at 11:10 PM ^
Your an idiot. I’m a Michigan fan. Look at your history. Pure douche bag
December 7th, 2019 at 11:40 PM ^

I mean...
December 7th, 2019 at 11:11 PM ^
Hey Cam. Fuck you
December 7th, 2019 at 11:12 PM ^
Ah, a Shakespeare fan.
December 7th, 2019 at 11:16 PM ^
It's hilarious that you edited this comment from "fuck you, pussy" to "hey Cam, fuck you." You thought about that first comment for a moment and figured it wasn't quite cutting enough? Lol. You're a cute little guy.
December 8th, 2019 at 3:59 AM ^
Hmm. An OSU troll at least has some reason (although a bad reason) to do nothing but rail against Michigan, insult the players and coaches at every turn, and insult everyone who supports Michigan. That is a troll and a douchebag.
But a guy who does all of that, says he is not an OSU fan, and says he is a Michigan fan instead -- is worse. He is still a troll and a giant douchebag, but also an imbecile, because only an imbecile would think the "I'm not an OSU fan" line of reasoning is a better look.
Anyway, just an observation.
In the meantime, Cam, be careful, because next he'll be starting some "Your mom" insults.
December 7th, 2019 at 11:06 PM ^
Don’t worry, flood gates about to open on Wisconsin then they can come sit next to us on the bench

Wisconsin not getting blown out and, on paper, has less talent than Michigan. We aren't coaching attention to detail which is why we fall apart every big game. Don't believe this will ever change umder Harbaugh.
December 8th, 2019 at 12:23 AM ^
Can you imagine if Michigan was up 21-7 at the half against OSU and then we got out scored 27-0 in the second half? I’m sure you would point to how good Harbaugh is doing and praise him for not getting blown out
December 8th, 2019 at 3:57 AM ^
We got outscored 28-11
so??????
December 8th, 2019 at 7:11 AM ^
Let’s be clear and more specific that just funneling these contrasts between how Wisconsin performed against osu to our performance.
Wisconsin made 21 pts. We got to 27, which is normally a score that can be competitive and sometimes win a game when...
your defense doesn’t completely fall apart.
Gattis is moving us in the right direction and that was Harbaugh’s decision to humble himself and adjust to the landscape of offense in CF.
Don Brown has proven he’s a contender in the crappy ACC and only against super weak teams in the Big Ten. Against halfway decent offenses, he completely fails the sniff test.
While our players may not be as elite as OSU, we have some tremendous speed and talent on defense. The fact that we had undersized D linemen this year and that a linebacker led our team with sacks and pressures says a lot. We lost a great coach in Mattison. Had Harbaugh made Mattison D coordinator, I believe OSU would still score, but not be putting up 56 and 62 embarrassing points in a single game.
December 8th, 2019 at 4:01 AM ^
Hahahaha! Awesome! Yes, this board needs to be fumigated with an industrial quantity of that. +1
December 7th, 2019 at 11:08 PM ^
So wait. Are we still hiring Jim Leonhard, or did we fire him before hiring him?
December 8th, 2019 at 4:13 AM ^
I think we fired him in 2016, hired him in 2017, fired him with extreme prejudice in 2018, hired him on Sept. 22nd, 2019, and fired him today during the 2nd half.
The reactionary contingent of the Michigan fan base is working toward the goal of hiring and firing defensive coordinators after every play of every game.
