Meant to post something in thread box. Fat fingered it. At any rate it looks like Wisconsin pass rush getting home. Field goal kicking making a difference so far.

Enjoying Notre Dame—Wisconsin.

Vandy though, lol. What do we have to do to get them into the B1G? Great academic profile, and we could use them on the schedule on a regular basis.

Watching Wiscy/ND, as I'm sure many here are. Wisconsin's offense looks pretty anemic so far. Their defense looks solid against the run, and they're playing aggressive. Three sacks in the first quarter. This will be a test for the UM o-line, and McNamara is going to have to make plays through the air.

Yep, agreed with this assessment. Wisconsin does look beatable, but this is not a team Michigan is going to be able to pulverize on the ground like a lot of other teams on the schedule. How our passing game compliments what we're trying to establish on the ground, and then obviously executing efficiently through the air, in my opinion will determine if Michigan has a shot at pulling off a victory in Madison.

If we're efficient at running play action and RPO out of the run looks we've put on film thus far, I think we can keep their safeties honest, and out of the box. The key will be to keep Wisconsin off balance with not only play calling, but also the cadence of play calling so we can keep the run game clean and operating at a healthy clip - in the neighborhood of 4.0 ypc. I don't think you can ask for much more than that against this Wisconsin run defense.

Easier said than done, and this will be Cade's first big test on the road as the starting quarterback, so he might look a little jittery early on. I do think our defense should be able to hold them off for a little while while the offense settles in, UW offense does not look very good.

It'll be a tough test for sure, but I do think there is a path to victory in Madison. Just can't let Wisconsin key in on our run game and bog the offense down and we should be in it with a chance to win.

The only data currently available is the 3 games played to date.  If you want numbers & data, see this link:

Now, it is reasonable to currently assert we are better than Wisconsin based on data yo date.  Will we beat them next week?  Who knows??

When's the last time a Wisconsin RB couldn't pick up a yard in a short-yardage situation. Everyone knew UW would run on that 4th and 1, but they can usually get a yard in their sleep. Doesn't seem like the usual UW rushing attack.

Nice deep ball from Mertz earlier in the drive though.
