I've more been on the mindset of Ohio's governor will issue a statement the Monday before The Game and decide the state of Ohio deserves "an early Christmas present." He will then announce that The Game will be granted a waiver by the state to allow for complete and full capacity.

Yes it would be stupid to do and yes OSU would probably get a lot of heat from the national media for doing something like that. But it would be Michigan's luck that something like that to happen.

I believe you are saying this tongue in cheek, but I don't think that would happen.  I have to say the Governor has erred to the side of caution. He was one of the quickest governors to respond to the pandemic.  I couldn't see him lifting any ban for sports.

He has actually received quite a bit of heat for his closures and canceled events.  Most recently the County fairs.  He has limited all county fairs to junior fair animal shows only.  Of course he did this after the county fair in his home county was done.  The county I live in is taking a big financial hit over this the last week of September.  My town hosts the largest county fair in the state.

I’m cool with that. I think it’s shortsighted to include fans in such a fragile environment. Obviously FSU looked like a potential disaster waiting to happen and even if we allowed fans, I don’t think it would go quite as badly as that. Some were impressed with what was going on at ND, I wasn’t.

Don't have the figures on hand and am on mobile but my understanding is that the majority of revenues derived from having games are from TV contracts (hi, Rutgers) as opposed to ticket sales and everything else associated with people actually being in the stadium (parking, concessions, etc)

Is that right or am I talking out of my butt as usual?
