Michigan hosting 5 recruits this weekend.
Arizona State RB DeaMonte Trayanum 4* 2022 Class 2020 has 4 years of eligibility remaining.
Virginia Center Victor Oluwatimi 2* 2018 but.....is the second highest among all FBs centers in blocking. Earned Second Team All-ACC honors this year. 1 year of eligibility remaining
We also have 2022 class WR Darrius Clemons 4* , DL Derrick Moore 4* , QB/Athlete Alex Orji 3* expected to make it this weekend as well.
Hope we have more to add to this list. Getting down to crunch time.

Wow....

Feed them well Chop House. I recommend the bone in ribeye.

Imagine now hosting these kids after just being named coach of the year. I would just have the trophy on the table while talking to the recruits.
December 10th, 2021 at 12:42 PM ^
"Oh, this little thing? Glad you asked..."
December 10th, 2021 at 1:19 PM ^
"Is it a bit cumbersome wearing a giant trophy on a chain around my neck? Sure, but I think it's quite tasteful."
December 10th, 2021 at 1:24 PM ^
Don't forget the B1G Trophy and Gattis' Broyles plaque!
December 10th, 2021 at 1:29 PM ^
A lot better than answering the why did they cut your pay in half question!
December 10th, 2021 at 1:57 PM ^
easy answer
"So I could free up that capital to help those UM employees who were financially affected by Covid without putting undue pressure on the greatest university in the galaxy."
December 10th, 2021 at 2:10 PM ^
Undue pressure? COVID year was tough for a lot of corporations but make no mistake, these universities are printing money. Just because they cash out at the end of the year to maintain their not for profit status.

The scallops appy was beyond good, pairs with the ribeye!

I really hope we land Chip Trayanum. He would be a great replacement for Hassan.
December 10th, 2021 at 2:34 PM ^
I think we are sliding along the scale from "recruiting" to "selecting".
December 10th, 2021 at 2:56 PM ^
Yep. DeaMonte Trayanum was an outstanding player for Arizona State as a true freshman. I think he would be an excellent fit for our offense.
December 10th, 2021 at 5:22 PM ^
And the OP said Chip Trayanum has 4 years left. I think it is 3. He played in 2020 (doesn't count) and this year, so 2022 would be a second year.
December 10th, 2021 at 12:44 PM ^
I would feel even more confident in our offense next year with Oluwatimi in the fold. Hayes, Keegan, Oluwatimi, Zinter, Jones.
December 10th, 2021 at 12:49 PM ^
Same here. Give our young centers another year to get better. Who will it be Reece Atteberry? Still very young.
December 10th, 2021 at 12:54 PM ^
It will likely be one of Atteberry, Anderson, or Crippen. They could also move Zinter over and play Barnhart at OG. My guess is it will be either Crippen of Anderson.
December 10th, 2021 at 12:56 PM ^
That's right, Crippen is the future....He got some run this year. Staff seems to think he's going to be a good one.
BTW. When was the last time we have had this amount of depth on the O-Line? Possibly 3 deep at some spots!! It's been years. I think we are back to the 90's O-lines. We were an NFL factory then.
December 10th, 2021 at 1:41 PM ^
Probably the Rich Rod years.
December 10th, 2021 at 1:58 PM ^
2013 really hurt us as far as O-Line goes.
December 10th, 2021 at 2:38 PM ^
Was that the Christian Pace class?
December 10th, 2021 at 12:56 PM ^
Crippin was 2nd string this year.
December 10th, 2021 at 12:52 PM ^
Hockey & basketball games. Good times.
December 10th, 2021 at 1:09 PM ^
Trayanum had some 24/7 CBs to Ohio St so he was at one point a take for them. Would be a nice get to add some depth to our RB room after we lose Haskins and only have 1 RB committed this cycle
December 10th, 2021 at 1:21 PM ^
It'd be fun to see what Mike Hart could do with Trayanum. I got stuck on Youtube the other day watching Trayanum's highlights and he looks like he has all the tools - big, fast, quick feet. He reminded me of those 'complete' backs that Georgia always seems to have.
December 10th, 2021 at 1:26 PM ^
Yeah, Just watched his video. He reminds me a lot of Le'veon Bell. He runs hard that's for sure. Imagine him behind O-Line. Him and Edwards in 2 years.
December 10th, 2021 at 5:27 PM ^
I watched Chip in nearly every game this year (went to two of them) and he is the real deal. (ASU is my second team as my kid goes there.) He got stuck behind Rachaad White, who is going to the Senior Bowl.
I've always had a good feeling that he is going to hit it big since the first game I saw him in (vs USC in 2020). He has great footwork.
Behind our line, he would be a beast.
December 10th, 2021 at 6:42 PM ^
Never have too many RB, think back to the Maryland game
December 10th, 2021 at 2:03 PM ^
Trayanum would have 3 years eligibility. He would be a RS sophomore next year if he uses a Covid year. Which I think less people will do as the years go on and the numbers get crunched. Regardless we could expect him for 2-3 seasons if he came here and it would definitely be a great addition.
December 10th, 2021 at 3:36 PM ^
Oluwatimi would be a huge pickup for next year. He is regarded as one of the top 10 players in the portal right now regardless of position. And a rare one as well: lots of WRs and RBs in the portal, centers not so much.

Rimington finalist as well
