Looks like Otis Reese might be going elsewhere.

It's been our MO for decades. RR, if nothing else actually opened the FL pipeline a little wider and going into the heart of SEC country is a very good thing simply because they're not going to reciprocate due to MI (the state) possessing very few of what they need.

Michigan has been looking towards the future and making promises for virtually a decade now.
It's time to play for the present.
The team has to close out on a positive note to make it seem like the program is overcoming former obstacles and beating national expectations.

you just can't have enough depth, some don't pan out, etc. However, we're not all bad at this position as is and things, as this decomit shows, if it occurs, can change in a heartbeat. Thinking we'll be ok at the olb with an actual bigger need for a RS OLB in '19.

I think the staff kind've goofed putting an emphasis on GA kids. UGA really turned their fortunes around. Does TN have any good kids?

Recruiting is a tough business. Kirby Smart has Georgia so upbeat it makes the Mark Richt era look like totally wasted time. Georgia hasn't had this type of frenzy since the Vince Dooley era. Tons of talent in GA and Smart is reclaiming the homeland. He can't take them all but he can take the cream, the very best every year.

Still have hope he'll stick. DOesn't he have family up here, and aren't he and Solomon bros?

...it's possible to post bad recruiting news in a non inflamatory way and no one gets ornery.
Niiiice!
And hope Otis stays blue but losing him to his local school who just so happens to be #1 = understandable.

If we don't, oh well. This staff has proven they can recruit and develop kids to operate at a high level in the system whether they're 5 stars or 2 stars. If he decides to stay home and go to Georgia then I think the odds are favorable the staff will find a replacement that we'll think is a good football player down the road. The odds that Reese will be a clearly superior performer to whomever replaces him - and that we'll notice it - is pretty small.
