Levert with a foot injury, Walton with turf toe, and Spike and Doyle with upper respiratory infections. I wonder if our coach will bring this up after every loss. We are gonna have to play some weird guys...

Probably not.

Don't worry, Michigan will gradually improve over the season and then pull off a few upsets in the B1G tournament and make it in that way.

Well, damnit....come home from a family thing nd this is the first thread I see.

Hopefully, they can find a way to wade through this and other guys can step up, but this is a significant loss. Best to Caris in his recovery from this and hopefully we see him 100% next season.

FUCK! Hopefully this is basically boot camp for the rest of the team and we come back next year WITH LeVert (which was unexpected at the beginning of the year) and we get back on top.

We have to go with Walton and Spike in the backcourt. PG: Spike - 30 / Walton - 10 SG: Walton - 25 / MAAR - 10 SF: Irvin - 30 / Dawkins - 10 PF: Donnal - 15 / Chatman - 10 / Wilson - 10 / Irvin - 5 C: Doyle - 25 / Max B - 15

When we wake up Harbaugh will have a top ten recruiting class, Nik Stauskas and McGary will still be in school and Ohio would have lost in the championship by 45 points.

We weren't making the tourny this year even with Caris - and everyone else - at full health.  We weren't even listed as "first four out", "next four in" or even as a bubble team in Lunardi's latest bracketology.  We have historically awful home losses and overall poor non non conference record.  The Big 10 is average this year and even getting to 9 wins wasn't gonna do it.  Nor do we even look like a team that is better than it's record indicates so we weren't gonna get the benefit of the doubt from the committee for an at large bid.

Plain and simple this is a rebuilding year. And yes Michigan still needs to have those, especially have the success of the last three years. This sucks for Caris, but the silver lining is maybe this means he returns for a senior year. The youngsters will get more development, and hopefully that helps create more sophmore and junior leaps, setting us up for a strong , deep team next year.

Silver linings- Caris can't leave for the NBA now, he will have to come back. And we won't be great so everyone else will have to come back too. With experience and some fresh blood, we might do well.
