Jordan Poole

Jordan Poole is shooting 27.8% FG and 26.5% from 3.

The worst career shooting % in NBA history is 27.1  Charles Barkley shot 26.6% from 3.

He is on pace for the single worst shooting (high volume) season in the history of the NBA.

Wow.

He's playing on a team that will have Steph Curry and Klay Thompson 100% next season, plus potentially the #1 draft pick in the 2020 draft.  And he's a multi-millionaire.  I'll gladly put up those numbers as a rookie, if you're telling me that's what Year 2 will look like.

Yes, he made the best choice from a financial perspective but when does it end?  College athletics at the higher levels are turning into crap.  Players are gone at the first chance to become a pro and they aren't that great.

The Horror...

How is that worse than fans continuing to follow the lives of said players when it clearly makes them unhappy...for free?

There's even some instances where these same fans spend time and pay money to companies to find out about these kids before they're even committed to their school, which is when the fandom should start.

When should the interest begin? And when will/should it end?

Players want to get paid to go through this level of scrutiny.

I'm sure it bothers them much less after cashing 50k game checks than hearing it from paid reporters, questioning them while they're worried about school work.

------

Poole hit a shot that saved Michigan from the brink of years and years of man bun embarrassment (Houston, really? Second round, really?).

This allowed them to advance on, eventually reaching the title game. The advance that we somehow now tout, saying this years depleted squad should be and somehow is measured against. That's another topic though.

All that matters not.... because he's struggling while being thrusted into major playing time after being selected in the 1st round to a perennial front running team. Living his dream, no matter how long it lasts.

Wait. If the worst 3 point percentage in NBA history is 27.1%, then how did Charles Barkley shoot 26.6%?  It seems like that would be the worst percentage then.

People...HE’S A ROOKIE! You would’ve written off Kobe Bryant too based on his rookie season. Once Steph, Klay and a top draft pick get there next year, he will get much better looks from the field and raise his percentages.
