There was a timeout to call that play.

Teske has good hands, good sense of the game, and looked like a college big handling the ball (i.e. he could dribble more than once).  His conditioning, timing on defense, and strength and aggressiveness felt like weaknesses, although I liked the fact that Medina played man so he couldn't just sit in the middle of a zone and had to close out on shooters and do the high hedge on ball screens.

Medina is clearly well-coached (as was Solon), and Teske runs the offense, which had some in the stands grumbling about how he should dominate. For instance, he passed out of a double-team three consecutive times to open three-point shooters, who made all three.  I can see the complaining about not dominating (I think Solon's tallest player was 6-4), but I also liked how comfortable he was passing to an open teammate.  At the end of the game, when Solon needed a basket to tie  they threw the ball to him (a well-executed post move for a dunk tied the game). He then blocked a layup with 1.1 seconds left to get the chance at the last shot.

I was more comfortable with where he's at than my friends who went to the game were, for what that's worth.

Woah. That was awesome.

Out of curiosity, how good is our incoming class? Also I heard some while back that Davis is possible to redeclare to the 2017 class? Is that still a possibility or are we definitely having him around next year?

Also, so many bigs!

other than the fact that it came right before the buzzer—it was well within the arc and he got the pass in perfect position. It's a shot that players make numerous times every game.

The only amazing part of the play was the inbounds pass.

catching a pass and getting a shot off with a defender in one's face is something that happens so rarely in a game that it's "amazing?"

If Teske had done the same exact thing in the first half nobody would be saying it's "amazing." That he did it at crunch time is a testament to his ability to make the shot in that situation, but it's not like he hit it from half-court or was buried in the corner. He was well inside the FT line.

I thought the shot was alright and no big deal especially for a guy who towered over everybody else.

The pass was the best part of the play. I just hope Teske has a nasty attitude and doesn't come in as another soft big, I'm tired of that shit.

After looking at the previous board topic and looking at how we're barely being considered by the 2017 guys maybe Beilein can start climbing trees and doing sleepovers or something or just ask Harbaugh to go out with him on the recruiting trail.

Hindsight says they probably should have gone full-court zone with the ability to front/double Teske since with that little time left he was the only threat for anything better than a half-court heave.

Looking forward to having a shot blocker on the team. His presence could mitigate some of the blow bys on the perimeter. Next year he can contribute defensively even in spot minutes.

more like one of the players dad's than a kid in high school and his teammate in the background to the left looks a lot like Avon Barksdale.......or maybe I had too much to drink last night.
