Jim Harbaugh is a Hero - Follow-Up
Just a follow-up piece. Apparently the victim didn't know who was helping her until later when a state cop told her that it was Jim Harbaugh, football coach extraordinaire and part-time EMT, who came to her rescue.
Sounds like the accident was pretty bad, so kudos to JH for stopping to help.

Jim Tressel wouldn't have stopped--the accident was not significant enough.
He has black tar running through his veins.

Thank you for posting that. Just another in the long list of juvenile behavior from that moron. God I can't wait until Harbaugh curbstomps him at midfield this year.
He's still feeling disrespected because the accident isn't about him.
soon as he finished his pizza.

regardless of who "caused" them.
We caused this one:
Be eating pizza. With his bad heart and stress..
Urban never had a heart issue- he went to the ER with chest pains that ended up being esophageal spasms due to acid reflux. Although, given that, he still should not being eating pizza as it's known to cause heartburn and reflux in those such aflicted.
to see if any of his players were injured, and then he'd call a press conference and cry about it.

the driver "didn't execute".
/ but would've stopped to help
// sorry, too soon?
He would have been aware of the accident, but not fully aware.
clapped encouragingly, and preached toughness until the EMTs arrived.
are just a statistic.
Kirk Ferentz would have said "These things happen, there's nothing you can do about it. People are just going to have to get used to it. We will never be able to drive the way they do in the South."
Miles would have found a piece of grass to eat first.
that man.
and tried to line up some sponsorship deals: the Kraft Macaroni Accident Site, the Arby Curly Fries EMTs, and the J. Ira and Nicki Harris Good Samaritan. If the victims started complaining that he wasn't providing any actual assistance, he would've told them to find another passerby.
He also won't milk it like Peter did.

Amazingly, according to MLive she hadn't heard of him before the accident. That's fairly hard to do around Southeast Michigan. I mean, there's billboards and stuff.
she reads the Free Press and thinks John is the coach.
On second thought, no one reads the Free Press.
I'm really hoping Jay Harbaugh sneaks in there next time. Or even better Jack. Keep on Rockin in the Freep World
Er, I guess that meme is dead huh. Well, so is the "RoJo is about to decide any day now" meme. Will live forever.

wouldn't know who JH was either by looking at him.
/hangs head in shame
She needs to be invited to come out at halftime and get a chance to publically thank Harbaugh and Minick.
You know what I like about good people? They do good things because they're good, not because it might eventually become a photo op.
It's nice that our HC is a good guy, but what's more important is that two people in trouble got help when they needed it.
That was actually a really refreshing mention by Ablauf of this. It was a two sentence blurb buried. No bullshit bragging or whatever. This is just what a good person does.
Brandon probably would have tried to film a commercial at the crash site.
"University of Michigan Athletic Department spokesman David Ablauf said both Harbaugh and Minick declined to comment on the incident."
Yep.
Also, the guys did not fall into the trap called Diffusion of Responsibility.
Minick, the director of football ops is a hero too. Former Marine colonel who was in Fallujah. Also Harbaugh's childhood friend.
