How many of you have named something (pet, child, etc.) after someone from Michigan?

My dog's name is Bo. Actually its Beau cuz he's a French dog, but I spell it Bo.

I named a WoW character after Ezeh. I haven't, but I think that if I had to write a character story about him, it would almost write itself ("sometimes slow to react to what's going on, but has flashing moments of greatness")

I wanted to name my daughter "Bo" ... or maybe her middle name . I used the example of Bo Derek saying "it is a girl's name. The thought was squashed by my wife. So sad.

I was going to name my son Benny Yost, buy my son wound up being my daughter. Unfortunately, she does not have a Michigan name. If I ever get my own dog, I'm going to name him Duggan.

I started calling Misopogal "Misopogal" outside of reading my blog entries to her, which then morphed into "My Michy Girl." Then I received a notice of Major Violations. Like the NCAA, Misopogal's default stance is "Major Violation," and two-year probation. Minor Violations are just stored away and saved for something totally unrelated.

Named my son Mason Blue. He will be the first 4 time National Champion and Heisman Trophy winner and will be wearing a winged helmet. This all starts in 2025 BTW.

We are having a boy (our third kid, first two girls) and we are naming him Brady, after a certain quarterback. When we were picking out names, I kept trying to get Bo or Carter or even Glenn, but kept getting shot down. I finally suggested Brady, and she bit. Her rationale was that not only is a good player, but he is also "hot", so our kid can be like him.

UM Rotc,huh? I envy you. I went to the boat school, I'm a big fan of my school, but a part of me always wondered what it would have been like in Ann Arbor. You won't find a bigger Blue fan than me. I'm an expeditionary guy though, didn't fly to the boat.

I started telling my kids bedtime stories about a group of space rangers led by Zoltan. His squad of superheroes include Forcier (sniper), Obi (weapons specialist) and Warren (defensive specialists), Fitzy and Minor (they have powers similar to the Flash). They reside on a planet called A2, and fight their mortal enemy the Tresselites (insects like creatures) who live on Columbo. It's been a huge hit now for a year. I'm running out of story lines, if anyone has ideas let me know. In the current episode, Forcier and Minor did a special ops mission to Columbo to do a hostage extraction after Fitzy was captured in a space fight with the Tresselites.

That's good stuff! But it's time for Minor, Warran and Zoltan to retire to planet EnEfEl to live out their days in peace. They must turn over their knowledge and weaponry to Prince Hagerup, Dorsey, and the three-headed-Warrior SmthTrousantShaw. And don't forget about the impending battle that is brewing in A2's own backyard which threatens the way of life and stability of all that is good and blue... the battle verse the invading Dantonites --- those green, uneducated, ski-masked wearing warriors with the amazingly gorgeous women.
