I don't think Cincy is in the SEC...but I'm glad to have him aboard. Despite his size (you know how the recruiting sites loves size), the kid is highly regarded. Welcome aboard Dennis.

Rivals compares him to Darren Sproles who...is not bad...actually quite the opposite. I don't know how they're going to use Hayes, Norfleet and the like, but I can't wait to see. They both have talent that can really help the team do things.

Yeah, talent is talent to a certain extent.  WR, RB, DB, and Special team guys can usually get away with being smaller.  Mainly because they aren't in the trenches and need the height to see over the line.  They can survive on athleticism alone which is nice.  I'm very impressed with this offer and commitment, to say the least.

I'd like to start by saying I don't have scout insider so Sam Webb could have said on there that this is the surprise he was talking about.

That being said, it is not possible to infer that from this tweet.  All it says is that Norfleet was "a" signing day surprise.  "A" being used here has no meaning toward any other commitments.  If it was "the" signing day surprise, then you would be right.  Linguistically it doesn't work.

Good player but is it me or has this been the oddest end to recruiting season in a long time? Seems like a perfect spread rb/slot. Maybe Smith Dileo and Gallons success changed some minds in Shemy hall.

Third down back is like a quasi starter.  I wish Vincent hadn't had his ACL tear his freshman year -- he just hasn't seen quite the same.

I've been really excited about Norfleet and just glad that the staff isn't tied to an ideal instead of grabbing and working with great talent

^^^This.  It shows that the coaches are not trapped in the dogma of "Manball".  We all thought at first that Vince Smith would be relegated to the bench in the Hoke program, now they are recruiting another player like him.  That's enlightening.

Despite the "Manball" comments when Hoke came in, I think at this point we have enough real evidence to show that Borges is not DeBord.  Our offense is and will continue to be quite diverse.

The only "Manball" thing Hoke ever said was that it could be tough to have a great defense if your offense runs zone blocking all the time.  That really wasn't a controversial thing to say - even RR occasionally uses man blocking.  It shouldn't have led to the internet uproar it did.

Not every back can be an every-down guy like Mike Hart.  Vincent Smith is a tough, 100% effort, totally BLUE, tremendous Michigan man and very good football player.  He is going to have a nice senior year, and I'm DAMNED glad he's blue.

This thread is borderline harsh on Smith, and I hope he's not reading it.  He's done everything asked of him.  If Norfleet is AS GOOD AS Smith, I'll be very happy that he's blue.
