Great Day for M Athletics

Sunday was a banner day for Michigan Olympic sports teams:

W Tennis beat Illinois 4-1 to earn its second consecutive B1G tournament championship.

Water Polo beat Princeton 10-6 to earn its 4th straight CWPA tournament championship and an automatic bid to the 8-team NCAA tournament.

Softball beat PSU 7-2 to complete a 3-game sweep on Senior Day.

Baseball beat Rutger 4-1 on a 3-run walkoff home run in the 10th inning and continues in first place in the conference.

Who's got it better than us? Nobody! GO BLUE!

Great day.  Would be even better to top it off with a big FB recruiting get after another big visit weekend, but I don't think anything is imminent.

Hey, I get it.  I was a division 3 baseball player in college.  I took pride in my athletics career.  I was a two year captain, a two time all conference player, and was scouted for the MLB draft.  But, I also recognized that no one outside of my friends, family, and teammates could give a crap about my baseball career or my team's games.  I'm happy for them sure, but I also don't really care one way or other.  I do however care that we are 2-16 against OSU for the last 18 years.

Go Blue, we are so blessed to be fans of a school that excels in so many areas in academics and athletics.

Maybe we could remember that when we feel the urge to complain, myself included.

Hmmmmm....   would gladly go 22 for 400 in all the non revenue sports for 4 outright conference championships in football over the next 8 years.
