Great Day for M Athletics
Sunday was a banner day for Michigan Olympic sports teams:
W Tennis beat Illinois 4-1 to earn its second consecutive B1G tournament championship.
Water Polo beat Princeton 10-6 to earn its 4th straight CWPA tournament championship and an automatic bid to the 8-team NCAA tournament.
Softball beat PSU 7-2 to complete a 3-game sweep on Senior Day.
Baseball beat Rutger 4-1 on a 3-run walkoff home run in the 10th inning and continues in first place in the conference.
Who's got it better than us? Nobody! GO BLUE!
GO BLUE!!!!
Great day. Would be even better to top it off with a big FB recruiting get after another big visit weekend, but I don't think anything is imminent.
Just saw Rutgers baseball at DTW. They don’t seem to care they just got swept lol.

Just happy to be out of NJ
Lets be real, we'd trade it all for a win against OSU in football.
WE might but the athletes in those sports wouldn't. And that's not how it works anyway.
Fans of Michigan athletics might, but don't deny these athletes their moments all the same. It's so easy for us to spout that stuff because we're not there, playing that game, whatever the game might be.

Hey, I get it. I was a division 3 baseball player in college. I took pride in my athletics career. I was a two year captain, a two time all conference player, and was scouted for the MLB draft. But, I also recognized that no one outside of my friends, family, and teammates could give a crap about my baseball career or my team's games. I'm happy for them sure, but I also don't really care one way or other. I do however care that we are 2-16 against OSU for the last 18 years.

Why shouldn't we say it? It's certainly true.
No, it's not true. I wouldn't trade someone else's hard-earned accomplishments for my bragging rights. I've got a better idea: Let's win all of those sports AND beat OSU on the football field.
Go Blue, we are so blessed to be fans of a school that excels in so many areas in academics and athletics.
Maybe we could remember that when we feel the urge to complain, myself included.

Imagine what this site would look like if we bitched about the play of our shortstop or how the center on the Water Polo team has a low assist ratio. Don't get me started about the double faults on the Tennis doubles team!
