Geniunely Sarcastic's Return

He's back.

Guy's good for about 3 blog posts a year, but they're of high quality. Kind of like Johnny from RBUAS but less sappy.

Nice!  I remember he was struggling with some ongoing depression issues when his posting became extremely infrequent.  Hope he's fully healthy and keeps posting -- he's one of the best Michigan writers on the net.

have been lurking here for a long time and read some of his stuff and didn't have any knowledge of why he stopped writing.)  Just saying he had been ill would suffice.

I for one am glad he is back writing again as I really enjoyed his stuff.  Heading over there now to give it a look! :)

For anyone who isnt familiar with his site, he's a fantastic writer who had some personnel issues that have prevented him from writing more frequently in the past.  Perhaps he's conquered those demons and if so, that's wonderful news.

He's Brian Cook quality as a writer - just not Brian Cook prodigous.

Johnny from RBUAS doesn't even tweet about Michigan anymore, let alone blog about it. I was never a big fan but I wonder what happened to him.

What happened to his fandom. I think that my being caught up on his twitter activity implies that I know where he is writing. Im sure he has an open invitation to write for HTTV, but he hasn't been in there for years now. Is it possible he's given up on Michigan altogether? I remember some accusing him of being a bandwagon fan around the time he stopped writing about UM (4-5 years ago).

I don't know if you were kidding, but his blog is linked on mgoblog on the left banner. It is the third one from the top under Michigan Blogs. That is how I used to read his blogs.

Edit: Dammit. You fooled me there. SpicyWiener.

Great to see TOB back at it.  Because he doesn't have the responsibility of a large blog, TOB has the freedom to let his soul bleed emotion into the keyboard without a lot of filtering.

When TOB is writing on a regular basis, he's actually a great complimentary POV to that of Brian, who combines the abiltiy to watch film like a coach with the "voice," cultural references and wit of someone who remmebers everything he learned in lit classes.

I enjoy both Brians and hope this means TOB is all the way back from what Neil Young calls "the ditch."

"After we take some pictures, we start talking, just the two of us,” Beamer said. “Jim says over and over how much respect he has for Georgia Tech. He must have said it five times. I’m just looking at him like, ‘Are you serious?’

“Finally, I’m joking with him and I say I can’t wait to tell my team that you called us Georgia Tech. Because, you know, we’re Virginia Tech.  Harbaugh then threw his infamous shark expression at Beamer: mouth agape, eyes on fire, looking poised to chomp. Harbaugh’s assistants have seen this look for years; he sometimes holds it for about 30 seconds without speaking, causing everyone in eyeshot to wonder what is flowing through his mind -- if anything.

Beamer continued to lock eyes with Harbaugh for a few moments, waiting for him to say something, anything. It may have been the most uncomfortable silence of Beamer’s life."

Holy hell that's funny.

I frequently check his blog around the start of the season waiting for him to post- great stuff! I love reading his older stuff, most of which is spot on/eerie with what has come to pass

I missed his articles. He was really good, although he didn't post for a while. I am glad he is back. It was one of my favorite sites apart from mgoblog.
