The Game check in

Submitted by Berger04 on November 26th, 2021 at 12:37 PM

I have been a die hard fan for 25+ years. This is my first time attending The Game in person. Words cant describe my mix of emotions. I went Under the lights against ND...Awesome. That didn't compare to the night game against Washington. IMO.  I hope this crowd generates the most noise and energy the big house has ever witnessed. Hopefully not to many fans sold tickets to those a**wipes.

To my fellow Michigan die-hards...Show up, be Loud, lose your voice. Most importantly

This will be my 24th edition of attending The Game (23rd in Michigan Stadium and once in Columbus in 1990).

Michigan is 12-11 in the games I've attended (11-11 at home and 1-0 on the road); a MEEEECHIGAN victory (as I invoke the ghost of Bob Ufer) would be so sweet and would keep me above .500 .

Been to The Game here in 1995 (my favorite), 2001, 03, 05, 07, 15, and 19. Columbus in 2004. I actually only remember encountering two real jackasses the whole day, most people either said nothing or even were pleasant. Maybe because we were in the student section- I've heard the townies are way worse there. Nonetheless, I have no plans of going back.

We had our wives with us in Columbus for the 1990 game and only had to endure some mild verbal abuse (such as "fuck Michigan" and "we'll get even basketball season") pre-and post-game.

Other than that, the worst that happened was on the eve of The Game---my buddy and I had beers dumped on our heads as we entered a downtown Columbus pub, our wives were spared the soaking as we held the door for them and the culprits held the beer until we entered.

I went to The Game in Columbus in 2018 dressed in full regalia.  Gotta say.  People in the stands were pretty cool.  Nobody threw anything at me. And other a few “Michigan sucks” comments, people were pretty chill.

Outside the stadium waking back to my car, however, people behaved like animals.  And I started legitimately feeling unsafe as I was walking alone.  Not cool.  I’d do it again, but next time I’d make sure I was with a group of people.

Haven’t missed a home edition of The Game since 1993. Never been to Columbus and have no desire to do so any time soon. The plan is to go nuts and witness victory. I can’t stomach another year of that shitty O-H-I-O chant in our house.

18th time for me. 16 in AA and 2 in Cbus.

This game hits different. Always has, always will

The party starts at 6am at Pioneer and hopefully ends on the M at midfield around 3:30 and a trip to Indy next weekend. #GoBlue

This will be my 4th game of welcoming the OSU “official” fans in the SE corner. They’re not that bad, but I enjoy interacting with the other schools contingent better. This year we also have the band up in Section 8 … Oh Joy!

Will be there with my two kids first OSU game and my daughter will be there in student section as a freshmen for her first The Game too. We plan on joining Coach Howard and being a part of his 12th man team!!!

My daughter applied in October, we are waiting for her letter of acceptance. Fingers crossed she gets in. Excellent grades. This was her first game with me. We had a blast. Needless to say, she's disappointed my wife and I are going to the game tomorrow without her. Hopefully she joins your daughter next year in the student section.

Been attending for 15 years...both sites. Have not personally had difficulty in Columbus but I know others who have. I am so hoping M can have a victory tomorrow.  I note that the golf course will be closed tomorrow. Pioneer is cashless and will be excessively expensive (at least $70, maybe more.)

There will be pom-poms at the game and lots of pre-game festivities.  Wear some maize even if it is a scarf or hat and be prepared to lose your voice!

GO BLUE!!!

I wish I had Ross money so I could buy every ticket for sale and give them to Michigan fans only.  I hate seeing all of the red in the stadium.  Losing doesn’t bother me as much as having so many stinking buckeye fans there.

This will be my first Game! The only other game I've attended at the Big House was PSU in 2005, the Henne - Manningham miracle. Here's hoping the good juju returns.

It's already started well; I had purchased some (relatively) cheapie tickets and was asking my brother's friend - a seasoned veteran at attending these events - about where to park. He ended up saying "Oh hell, I'm not going. Take my seats at the 50-yard line and the parking pass that goes with 'em. Sell yours, and enjoy the game - Go Blue!"  SO generous. That's a good fan, and a good friend. So I'll be shouting my head off to do my part to support the team.

We’ve been going for most home versions for years, but all in now, as we went in for 4 season tix with our recent grad son.  He always sneaks down with his buddies in the student section, leaving us with some decent elbow room.  So pumped for this year!  I’ve tried so hard not to be hopeful, but I’ve lost that battle! GO BLUE!

Section 3 row 48. First OSU game was 2011 ten years to the day, unfortunately nothing, but heartbreak since and been to all of them in AA since. I am bringing my father in law who is a good time but only a casual college football fan. Hopefully he can bring some good luck and tell a few OSU fans to fuck off.

While I won't be in attendance anyone in the 60151 area (Maple Park, IL), are more than welcome to watch with a few fans at the Maple Park American Legion. Beer is cold, drinks over poured, good people, and great food. GO BLUE!!!!!!

Will be there with my wife and daughter. I have been to every Michigan osu game in Ann Arbor since 2005. I have only seen Michigan win once. That needs to change tomorrow.

I actually sold my tickets and ensured they go to Michigan fans because it is not possible to attend the whole game. Living  out of state, visiting in-laws instate, and then thinking of leaving the kids for 12 hours (including tailgating) just doesn’t work right now. So tickets are sold to the fans who will be able to yell for 4 quarters. One day we’ll be able to bring the kids to add to the noise.
