ESPN re-Seeds College World Series

Cruising through ESPN for info on the CWS, I came across this article on re-seeding the 5 teams left at the CWS.

They have #1 right with Vandy - they look good. But fun to see the respect the boys in Maize & Blue are receiving.

I can't disagree with the new seeding.  Vanderbilt is loaded with talent and seems to be playing very well also.  If Michigan beats Tech, it will be a really good, tough series with Vandy.  Go Blue!

I'd rather be unranked and unseeded. One of the last 4 in.

It's the truth and a better story and may keep the kids' heads on straight.

Underdog to the max!

Yeah I was going to say it's weird to have TTU at 5 considering they are in the final 4, and MSU or UL will be eliminated today. TTU should probably be 3 as they've looked better than those teams and their only problem was running into a hot Michigan team in game 1.

I have to agree Michigan has looked every bit as good as Vandy. Very surprising as coming into the tourney Vandy seemed like the heavy favorite

All that matters is who has the hottest 2 pitchers and the most arrogant / self-starting offense.  Right now, Michigan has the pitchers.  I'd like to see more scrappiness out of their approach at the plate.  We were pretty undisciplined the last couple games but some of that is the horrific plate ump calls.  But we have make the other teams (assuming TT then Vandy) EARN their outs (fewer strike outs).

EDIT:  researched error rates in NCAA versus MLB.  Obviously there are many variables, but from the official records an average MLB team makes 2 errors out of 100 chances and an average NCAA team makes 4 errors out of 100 chances.

Since I've never watched more than a game of college baseball before,  I'm more impressed  on how good MLB umpires are behind the plate besides Angel Hernandez.

These NCAA umps are frightfully bad.  Super inconsistent,  Never know what a strike is.  Zone gets bigger for the team behind and smaller for the team ahead.

I think ESPN took off kzone to keep from embarassing the Umps.

Henry pitched his last game so well having Eric Gregg behind the dish would have made it completely unfair for FSU.  As for the douche canoe that was behind the plate, had Henry been just a little off his game, not even anal ease would have helped, so tightly was he being squeezed.
