It's row 72 in most (all?) entrances.
some sections have 2 entrances
Correct. There are two levels of entrances on the tunnel-side sideline, the higher bank of which continue all around the bowl (at ground level, where the original bowl ended). That's at Row 72, IIRC.

Hope this helps. They are not all at 72.
I was expecting a report from WD on our crew team rowing into The Big House during a football game this season for their Championship celebration
The crew team rowing in on boats with wheels would be awesomely cool!
And if that doesn't work, then maybe they can set up a giant Slip 'n Slide™ to send them down the tunnel at the 50 yard line.
fill the stadium like a pool. just plug the drains and throw a few fire hoses over the side.
this but on a larger scale:
FOTFL , oh my god can’t stop giggling.
I would ask Mineral King, but he is on a sabbatical
His sabbatical hasn't ended yet?
Sorry for this random thought...
What do you think the average fan's height and weight would need to be to have everyone fit comfortably in that stadium?
I decline to answer that, just in case you might be with the athletic department and are looking for a way to charge my fat ass for two seats
They could use the metal detector as a way to size your body. If you don't fit through it. You gotta pay for another seat. You get a couple of overweight people in a row and all of a sudden your seat disappears.
I agree on the size test...
I had that happen on a Southwest flight from Vegas to San Diego. Some guy sat next to me who should have paid for two seats sat down. The flight attendants agreed, told me to go to customer service and SWA credited my flight.

If Michigan ever falls behind on the attendance record I bet we could fill the place with 130k feral children.
My season tickets are in Section 2 and our row, Row 51, is the exit row. So, when I attend a game, I just walk in and turn left. Even better is that we have the handicapped seating behind us, which is a large cement slab, so we have no real seats behind us, which means we have a back and we have nobody's legs in our back!
Best seats in the Big House, in my opinion!
For my money, the best seats are any directly above the entrance portals. We have family friends with tickets around the 50, right on the portal railing, and they're dynamite. No one in front of you, easy to get in and out, it's great.
Just jump over the railing? Easy!
We've got 6 seats in rows 78 and 79, the seats in 79 are at the top of one of the portals and the others are on the aisle. Nobody in front of 3 of our 6 seats and all of our seats are easy in, easy out.
We love our seats so much that we've passed on upgrades/moving several times since we landed there in 1980.
I am Sec 1 row 51. I would technically say that the wheelchair row (52?) would be the entrance row? Love my aisle seats, but above the entrance portal MAY be the only better seats, although they are farther from the field.
The row behind the wheelchairs is row 56.

Thanks for all the info. I am looking at tickets in Section 42 Row 74 and Section 14 Rows 75 or 76. Looks like large concrete slabs in front of both areas, are these the wheelchair areas? How is the heat from the sun in these areas, maneuverability (getting in and out), seeing the game action? I saw a NFL game years ago from about the same position of Section 14, it was really great being able to see how the holes opened up on the running plays, and how the defense shut those holes down. Is it the same experience in Section 14?
