College Football Risk is BACK - Season 3 is now LIVE!
https://www.reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/10g39zv/college_football_risk_is_back_season_3_is_now_live/
Its back for those interested in it . If we get a big , strong , initial response from Wolverine fans , could go a long way to helping us win .
From the reddit post :
The offseason has begun - and with it, the boredom of nearly 9 months without football. It also comes with strange ideas to entertain ourselves, and boy do we have one for you.
Dread it, run from it, College Football Risk arrives all the same.
I am proud to announce that Season 3 of Reddit’s almost-annual College Football Risk is now LIVE. You have 36 hours to join your favorite team and put in your first move at https://collegefootballrisk.com/

Hell yea! How do we get our orders again?

I was going to ask the same question. I forgot how it worked.

The system that was used last time was run by people that aren't doing it this year. So someone needs to step-up and organize Michigan. First 3 days all we can do is defend anyway, so there is time for someone to take charge.

I was gonna ask that!!!! As my only option is to defend.

Wasn't it through a discord? If all those people are gone it will be pretty difficult to recreate the strategy (not to mention whatever tool it was they used so you could get your assignment).
Edit: There's a discord thread for M people, but I haven't seen anything about vetting like they used to do.

Wow. It looks very different. Is it totally different game now?

I’m in. I guess I’ll just attack Sparty until I hear otherwise.

they should make college football chess

WTF - I thought this and Draftageddon had both been properly shitcanned.
For those joining "to play", I have one word:
January 19th, 2023 at 1:09 PM ^
Are we playing for blood? Because if so...
January 19th, 2023 at 1:12 PM ^
That may have been the easiest and most accurate label you ever placed on anyone.

FWIW per the Reddit thread, the Michigan leadership team isn't playing. One of the leaders actually helped develop the game, and was accused of cheating throughout last year, even though it took lotto-like odds for us to lose in the last round.

How can we improve our Risk culture?

Hire Biff Poggi

I'm in and my first (and only allowable) move is in.
DEFEND ANN ARBOR to the death!
January 19th, 2023 at 1:49 PM ^
I'm ready and awaiting orders.

Ukraine is decidedly NOT weak!
January 19th, 2023 at 2:19 PM ^
Hey, we’re playing a game pal.
January 19th, 2023 at 1:55 PM ^
I moved on Ann Arbor like a bitch.

If the only move is to defend, what are we defending from?
January 19th, 2023 at 3:21 PM ^
I think the first few days let a team build its base and if you defend you get some kind of points / credit for when you do attack
January 19th, 2023 at 5:17 PM ^
Unhomed teams. They're allowed to attack anywhere on the board, including Ann Arbor; the ideas is that they'll likely (if they coordinate at all) pick up some of the currently-owned-by-NCAA territory.
January 20th, 2023 at 11:56 PM ^
That was my next question as it seems Buffalo picked up some nice territory near us!

Saw this Michigan Discord in the Reddit thread for planning purposes.

I’m late to the party and the discord links shown have expired. Any updated links available?

I joined for the last 9 turns last time and it was a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to playing all the rounds this time.
