CFB Playoff Selection Show [open thread] (Michigan finished #14) / Sunday Snowflakes Thread
Shouldn't be any surprises...but I've always thought we should start an "Sunday CFB Thoughts open thread" or another "Sunday Snowflakes Thread" just to allow folks to continue to coversations from the night before.
The snowflakes threads take place right after the Michigan game and they're not relevant the next day. However people still have plenty of hot takes and plenty of things they want to DISCUSS the next day.
It's like the Monday Morning Quarterback for NFL discussion.
Anyway...

Sparty probably will jump the Sooners. Sparty has wins over 3 top-15 teams vs. Oklahoma wins over 2 (probably soon to be 1) top-20 team.
December 6th, 2015 at 12:02 PM ^
And because most believe the two top teams are Bama and Oklahoma so that gives them a chance to meet in the title game.

Makes a guest appearence. Should be interesting to see what first piece of disrespekt he believes his opponents give him.

If OU is here after being humiliated by a terrible Texas team, then the loss to a bad Nebraska team shouldn't hurt much. Bama also lost to an average Ole Miss team
December 6th, 2015 at 12:03 PM ^
Humiliated? They lost by 7. And Nebreska finished with the same record as Texas.
December 6th, 2015 at 1:37 PM ^
At the time OU was a 4-0 top 10 team and Texas was 1-4 coming off a 50-7 demolition at the hands of TCU. Texas was up 17-3 and 24-10 late. It was a pretty humiliating loss at the time. OU came out totally flat in a big rivalry game

Probably 1 Clemson v 4 OU and 2 Bama v 3 MSU right?
Looking at this field I'm terrified that MSU might actually pull this off. If MSU manages to beat Bama, I'll be pushing the panic button

Sparty NO! = Clemsoning

Have you watched Ok? They light up teams with poor secondaries. Oklahoma other than the Texas game has smoked the teams they are supposed to beat. MSU certainly has not.

Would you rather have them play Clemson? I trust Saban (they'll have no problems stopping a non-spread team) way more than Dabo Swinney.

We beat them (except for the punt) with pre-fire Jake Rudock and bad running backs. Alabama should smoke them. I don't think MSU will score much on Bama either.

Who's #6? Iowa or OSU?
I can see that going either way.
Yesterday I argued with 4 people about Stanford being over OSU no matter what and these fools wanted to tell me because OSU was higher last week they'd be higher this week.
I can't wait to see Stanford at #5, because that was a frustrating debate that I shouldn't have engaged in.
I'll say...
- Clemson
- Alabama
- MSU
- Oklahoma
- Stanford
- Iowa/OSU
- OSU/Iowa
- ND
- FSU
- Who cares...
December 6th, 2015 at 12:05 PM ^
I'll also say...
- MSU/Bama (CFB Playoff)
- OSU/Stanford (Rose Bowl)
- Iowa/FSU (Peach Bowl)
- Michigan/Florida (Citrus Bowl)
(#10 would be TCU in response to my first post)

It has to be Iowa. They both have one loss, but their loss came in the conference title game where they lead most of the game (which should mean something).
December 6th, 2015 at 12:08 PM ^
While leading 100% of the game too.
It wasn't a championship game, but I'm not sure that matters.
It'll just come down to whether they think OSU's other 11 games are better than Iowa's other 12 games.
December 6th, 2015 at 1:02 PM ^
Eye test:
OSU looked terrible that entire game. It was a shock that MSU didn't win by more.
Iowa and MSU had a game where they looked 100% even but in the end one of them had to win.
December 6th, 2015 at 3:01 PM ^
OSU lost at home, against a backup QB. Iowa's loss is more impressive to me.

1. Clemson
2. Bama
3. MSU
4. OU
Then I figure it's OU over Clemson and Bama over MSU. Then hopefully Bob Stoops can continue his tradition of trolling the SEC by winning.

this is going to take forever to get to the rankings etc isnt it.?
December 6th, 2015 at 12:06 PM ^
So much disrespect again. Now disrespecting their fans.
December 6th, 2015 at 12:41 PM ^
I seriously feel bad for them. Dallas in late December is not appealing. Bad beaches.

ROOOOOLLLLLLL TIDE ROOOOLLLLL!!!!
...and then I'll hope they lose by 100 in the Championship game to Clemson or Oklahoma. Spread/Mobile QBs have given Saban fits over the years.
