#BlueOut for Sparty game?

Submitted by greymarch on October 27th, 2022 at 9:05 PM

Attending the Sparty game.  Seeing #BlueOut all over twitter, other social media sites.  Not seeing anything asking for a #BlueOut on the university's official sports site.

So is this a "thing" for Saturday night, like the maize-out for PSU, or is this some viral thing a few peeps are hoping will gain traction?

The first time it was posted here it was The Maize Rage who posted it on twitter, and a few of the players have also joined in.

EDIT:  The Official Michigan Football Twitter account does have a video telling everyone to wear blue.

It’s “unofficially official” it’s not officially marketed by the AD like Maize Outs are (prob for Jordan/sponsorship reasons) but a ton of players, official maize rage social media accounts are saying to do it. The official UMich Football account out a video of Sainristil out with him saying to be loud, proud, and wear blue basically

I'm in strong agreement with the person that said "it's a late October night game, it'll be a "whatever color my coat is - out".

Many will have a blue or dark colored coat but enough to make the effect patchy will not. Guaranteed, being the first real "cold" game of the season.

I hope this is clarified before the game so I know if I should wear my Blue Michigan gear or my Red OSU winter jacket. If they don't announce it how will I decide?

I will wear blue. I personally think it’s a dumb idea and we should only do maize outs but I will support it.

reason? The maize pops on screen and it took many years from the first maize out to get more than the student section to get into it. I hate to reverse that progress now.
