MGONIL DIRECTORY IS HERE!

I'm so excited to introduce everyone to the definitive resource to track NIL happenings among your Michigan Wolverines! While it'll always be fun to continue growing "There are...", this has been my main project for fellow MGoBloggers that's been in the (hard-working) making all summer.

It will most certainly grow and change (and I fully encourage the sharing of new potential features) over time, but for now it's pretty simple. The Google Doc features every rostered athlete on all varsity sports, along with their socials (if they have them) to promote the easiest way to keep track of any future ways to support their platform – and even make it all the easier for those who own businesses to reach out to them for a potential sponsorship. In the column next to that is any NIL involvements they have. All players who have any kind of way to directly $upport them (i.e. merch) are highlighted.

Two things: The doc will be open for comments if anyone inevitably notices new stuff not yet included, or roster updates – I hope to keep it as up to date as possible myself, but some help would be nice. Players within each team are also not necessarily in a specific order, so I highly encourage the use of the Command-F shortcut to search for individual names.

My hope is that this will be the easiest way for the Michigan community (and its money cannon that it happens to have) to show their support for our athletes. This will be an experiment as we go, but I'm excited to see what comes of it.

I agree, great idea!  Also Dan Vilari and Alan Bowman have a podcast!  The description states that they'll break down games and goings on within the program while also bringing on teammates for interviews in the future.  This could be the new Dak and Dunc!  I'll give it a listen on my way home from work today.

This is a great idea, I really hope the community keeps it updated as new things come online for each player.

I'm surprised there aren't more hockey players involved. I hope they catch up once they start coming back on campus.

Great idea, I bought some Dax Hill stuff from TPT.  Really easy way to grease the skids for these kids.

Also, I think the players trunk would benefit from an mgoblog-style "Beveled Guilt" button for those buyers who would feel like setting a more fair price on items they purchase.  Just a thought.

Pay by play,

I will donate based on their performance.  Big numbers for big plays against OSU.  Game on Boys.

Perhaps we and players can track this per game and ultimately have a champion at the end of season.  Perhaps a golden M champion belt, pin or something.

This is awesome. Thanks for posting and maintaining! How does this NIL stuff work? What is the player's cut on an MDen football jersey? Can we start an MGoBlog NIL fund that is used to purchase autographed photos for the "archives"?
