Well written, but I still hate Iowa.

Hey bro, that's a good one! I'd upvote if I could

When I checked that Nebraska wiki page and saw they actually played the YMCA and Doane University, I laughed so hard!

Keep working Ace-man! Also big ups to the entire MGoBlog staff. With the football season coming, the site overhaul, and Ace's thing, plus probably other behind the scenes stuff that might be happening we have no clue about, you guys always somehow manage to keep this thing going like it's a robot. You guys are all great!

08/01/2018 - 10:07pm I know my priorities are…

I know my priorities are mixed up, but I agree. I want to have the opportunity to beat Ohio State at their best. If he really was guilty of something along these lines, I would hope they could find a way to give him a major fine or something as long as he keeps coaching.

05/20/2018 - 8:31pm Subjectively the OP's list

Subjectively the OP's list would pass a lot of polls. Probably with Shawshank in there. As for mine:

1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt. 2

2. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt. 1

3. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

4. The Shawshank Redemption

5. 8 Mile

6. Saving Mr. Banks

7. Moneyball

8. The Departed

9. The Dark Knight

10. The Social Network

Categories make this difficult. Tommy Boy, Happy Gilmore, Wedding Crashers, and American Pie all are great. Then you got The Lion King, Emperor's New Groove, Mulan, Madagascar, Dispecable Me, and the rest of the animated ones.

And, of course, the Human Centipede.

03/02/2018 - 10:45pm Mo Money?

Can we get a Mo Money tag for Wagner in honor of our friend Stephen Abootman?

02/21/2018 - 10:22pm I was never into a vatiety of

I was never into a vatiety of video games, but the few I got into I was obsessed about.

1. Pokemon

2. Mario Super Sluggers for the Nintendo Wii

3. NBA Street

I agree. Downvote all you want, and I understand. For me, personally, I would take Denard over anything. Probably no other player I would do that for.

Pac12 and Mtn. West all with 8:00 games.

I want to finish watching Arizona but I am about to fall asleep. Also, this ref has a very annoying voice

It is rainy and gloomy here in southeast Michigan. My roof is leaking. And my day has just been made!!

Thank you for taking the time to do these!

Awesome list. Although, I think it's "I'm poised", not "Oh boy" for the first one.

10/24/2017 - 1:44pm Nice write-up Brian, as

Nice write-up Brian, as usual.

My opinions:

1. I am disappointed, but I'm oddly still optimistic for a turnaround this year.

2. Anyone but MSU... I think I would rather lose to Rutgers.

10/22/2017 - 10:21pm We have TWO losses

FSU playing for next year? Maybe. Probably.

Michigan with 2 losses, and 3 easier games in a row, @ Wisconsin at night (I'm assuming) and Ohio State at home. I don't think 10 wins is that far out of the question and a good bowl game. No reason to play for next year in my opinion.

10/08/2017 - 9:13pm Good post Catchafire. And

Good post Catchafire. And Brutus. Gotta love College Football for sure!

I think a lot of this is timing - the B1G has probably been the best conference in CFB for the past 2-3 years. Dantonio and Meyer have built their program during the timeframe when the conference was pretty bad.

Again, this was a brutal loss, and losses like this are always going to affect me way more than it should any sane person. Still, let things play out with this staff. We got the best guy for the job, and I really think he's got either the best, or close to the best people around him.

09/28/2017 - 12:44pm The Planet Earth

The Planet Earth analogy/metaphor might be the most clever thing I have ever read on this site.

This needs to be permanately pinned at the top of the website forever.

09/07/2017 - 9:59am I'm with you Space Coyote.

I'm with you Space Coyote. Somewhere in the middle is probably where reality is. Thinking about situations like Charlie Strong at Texas and Rich Rodriguez here, sometimes it might really take 5 or 6 years if the new regime is the exact opposite of the previous one. Miles to Saban, Urban to Zook, Carr to Moeller - those are not too radical of changes, at least from my perspective.

On the outside, Texas seemed pretty well suited for Tom Herman to take over.

I think the link for The Story 2010 is wrong. Shouldn't it be this one?

Either way, great write-up Brian!

08/10/2017 - 8:44pm I'm with you. Although I do

I'm with you. Although I do understand the attitude of being annoyed with ESPN. It's everything besides the sports - the more I watch NBA TV, the more I wonder why I ever liked any announcers/analysts that weren't former players.

Maybe ESPN would have a chance by going to all live-sports or replays. And like two SportsCenters - one in the morning and one in the evening.

08/03/2017 - 8:48am Tate's run against Notre Dame

Tate's run against Notre Dame on 4th and 4(I think) is probably the single greatest moment of my life. I thought it was going to be a sure sign of things to come.

07/27/2017 - 10:20pm No idea if he is a good coach

No idea if he is a good coach or not either. But this kis could play, for real. I know that doesn't necessarily translate into a good coach, but I'm kinda excited about it.

06/23/2017 - 1:43pm Actually, I take that

Actually, I take that back...

Will Campbell anyone? Although, he was a very critical part of several extra point teams

In those dark days I was waiting for Freddy Canteen to do something.

But yeah, it's gotta be Kevin Grady or Derrick Green

06/18/2017 - 8:31pm For me, it's because I

For me, it's because I actually think Ohio State is good. Really good, in fact.

For whatever reason, I can't look at MSU and believe they are good at football. Ted Ginn was absolutely electrifying. Pryor at least looked really cool. Braxton, Barrett, Elliot, and crew were all great college players. I hate them for the same reason I hate LeBron: they're too good.

I hate MSU because they're little brother.

05/31/2017 - 12:05pm "Fat is the enemy of speed" -

"Fat is the enemy of speed" - at some point Harbaugh looked at someone and this is the first thing that went through his head. I find that hilarious.

04/28/2017 - 8:28am I really try not to rejoyce

I really try not to rejoyce over someone's firing, even Mark May. But I would sure be happy if Joey Galloway got the boot.

In a weird way, I miss May and Holtz on the College Gameday Final. Good tradition, and they weren't hurting anyone.

04/16/2017 - 4:24pm I'm pretty sure there should

I'm pretty sure there should be a "Captain" in there somewhere

04/14/2017 - 8:35pm Walk-on volunteer as tribute

"I don't necessarily want Hudson to demonstrate that in an intrasquad scrimmage... but if there's a walk-on who wants to take a very large one for the team we will remember you."

^^ This! Please this!

03/13/2017 - 9:13pm Good looks on Robinson's

Good looks on Robinson's defense. I think a special mention for Zak Irvin's post defense is in order as well. He guarded Swainigan really well forthe times he was switched on him. As well as Hayes.

03/13/2017 - 9:00pm If DJ Wilson's windmill layup

If DJ Wilson's windmill layup is not in that game's One Frame At A Time then I quit the site!

03/11/2017 - 4:25pm I can understand the OP's

I can understand the OP's argument. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he's not saying Walton is better, just more valuable. I would agree. This team without Walton playing like he is is bottom of the B1G. 2013 without Burke is still a Sweet 16 team probably.

Walton is Jake Rudock of basketball

03/09/2017 - 1:18pm This is absolutely fantastic.

I'll bet MAAR is going to score a ton of points over seas. He just has a crafty way to get points

02/22/2017 - 4:19pm You beat me to it. Why on

You beat me to it. Why on earth is that trophy back there? Unless ESPN used to haul that around to their primetime games and this picture was taken in like 2006.

02/21/2017 - 7:52pm I fall into the #change

I fall into the #change section. I like the old sites' layouts like this one. Much earier to read through, but I also do all of the browsing from my laptop. If it's still in the mix, I would love to see the setup stay as close to the same as possible. But either way, I'll be reading as often as always.

Thanks for all the work you guys put in.

02/12/2017 - 3:40pm I always wondered if they

I always wondered if they only allotted for 1 commercial spot every break. It seems like you could charge more money for that spot and more people would actually watch it because they probably wouldn't change the channel

01/20/2017 - 11:20am Thank you for everything

Thank you for everything Wyatt! Go kill it at whatever school you end up!

01/19/2017 - 10:07am Same with Isaiah Wilson

He's 2 in ESPN but in the 40's for Scout and 24/7.  This is the first year I can remember really comparing recruiting sites - I just assumed they would all be decently consistent across the board (maybe having kids in roughly 10-15 spots). But to me that's a really big deviation. But from the examples you guys were giving, it's not too uncommon...

01/13/2017 - 10:08am Good point. I guess sometimes

Good point. I guess sometimes I get caught up thinking that if the kid is not a 5* then he's going to be just average. I obvously know that's not the case, but for whatever reason that happens from time to time. Seeing people I view as college stars (Breaston, Funchess, Long) rated lower than I expected helps me be more positive and optimistic about the recruits.

01/12/2017 - 10:53pm Seth, share the rest?

Seth,

I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but I would love to see the complete lists if you can post them. It's cool how people like Funchess, Breaston, Long, etc. panned out so well as low recruits. Plus seeing the old names definitely beings me back to 1st and 2nd grade learning about recruiting for the dirst time. I just remember my telling me about some jud named Justin Fargas all the time...

But either way, great write-up

12/31/2016 - 12:44am It looked like he was jogging

It looked like he was jogging off the field with a thumbs up. I hope that's a good sign more than him just trying to make the fans feel better.

12/23/2016 - 12:04am This kid can play. For real.

This kid can play. For real. Crazy motor, good pull-up, and tough on offense and defense.

I hope it translates. Congratulations Dave!

12/15/2016 - 9:37pm Could not be happier to have

Could not be happier to have him on board!

You're right about this being a crazy long Hello post.

Be honest, did you write any of this before he actually committed?

12/05/2016 - 8:56pm If that's the case I think he

If that's the case I think he might need another year (or two) at Michigan to work on his cover skills.
