Brandyn Hillman Has Committed To Michigan Comment Count

Michigan's 2023 class gets a late boost:

Hillman signed with Notre Dame but decided to re-open his recruitment a week ago; he visited Michigan and Ohio State before deciding on the program that did not have its safeties combust into flames during The Game this year. USC also offered after Hillman came on the market again. Hillman is the #214 kid on the composite and is #130 to 247, which is the scouting service we generally believe to have the best takes. Adding him slides Michigan up past Auburn in the 247 class rankings, FWIW.

A hello post is in the offing. There is no content after the jump.

If Hillman’s worth to the team rankings is the same 17+ points for the team recruit rankings and the team recruit+transfer (aka: overall) rankings then, for the “overall,” this also slides us all the way up above PSU (albeit just by a fraction of a point).

That’s a shift from #19 to #14 in the “overall.” (Yes, there’s a tight cluster in this range; so, the distinction is as arbitrary as it is symbolic.)

A nice late-term pickup.  Between the couple of late flips and the transfers this class looks a lot better than I expected when the early signing period came to pass.

This tweet makes it seem like there are handful of silent commits that are going to announce soon
