New scoreboards for Big House, Crisler and Yost
Regents approved new HD boards for all three venues - and should be in place for the 2011-2012 seasons. Sweet!

I even searched it. My bad. Feel free to delete or ridicule me into oblivion...

The first sentence of the article you posted:
The University of Michigan Board of Regents voted Jan. 20 to install new high definition (HD) video scoreboards at Michigan Stadium, Crisler Arena and Yost Ice Arena.
That should have been your first clue, before even searching. Any news tangentially related to Michigan sports is posted on this board within 5 minutes of it happening, so it's safe to assume major venue news that happened almost a month ago has already been posted multiple times.

I blame Ablauf since the article was just published yesterday.
February 11th, 2011 at 11:40 AM ^
And by yesterday, I'm sure you mean two days ago.

You searched? Really?? "New scoreboards" in the search box worked for me. Maybe you searched for "what was David Brandon doing in January"... which, yeah.

For the new boards, in the Big House especially. Really a testament on how technology has advanced in a short amount of time. i believe it was 1998 when they installed the current ones and they look as if they have been there for 40 years.

Tough break being named after the douche-iest commenter on this board. Better than being named Harald Balls, I guess.

I live in Fort Wayne and man has this topic been at the top all week.

If my name were Dick Shrivels I would so run for mayor of Coldwater, MI

That's funny. I don't see "His", "Dude", or "ness" in his name anywhere. Nickname?
Oh...I see it now. "ness" and "nus" sound the same. Tricky, tricky...

In other news, Michigan has decided to put wings on their helmets.

I believe this article was re-published because U-M awarded the bids for the construction of the renovations. My fiance, who works for a construction co. in Detroit, said that they had been awarded work for the new scoreboard at the Big House.

News clip here because it's hilarious to keep doing it over and over again.

showing the new screens at Michigan Stadium?
February 11th, 2011 at 1:56 PM ^
Since the expanded press box/suites have helped keep sound in the stadium, and since the scoreboards will be larger, why don't they just link them somehow. Enclose the whole thing? Plexiglas? It would be deafening.

just like the Euros do with their futbol stadiums. The noise would be incredible!
