weekend visitors
AFAIK, the visitors are Tamani Carter, Frank Clark, Justice Hayes, Stefan McClure, Tony Posada, Raymon Taylor, Matt Wile and Leilon Willingham. I'm hoping that Posada will reaffirm his commitment and Wile will be the next in, but all I've heard so far is Justic Hayes tweeting that it's "Cold den a mugg!"

AFAIK, you are correct.

Wondering if their is a list of 2010 redshirts and how they are progressing?
Also, did Devon Gardner get his redshirt?
Thanks, Steve

I plussed you because you might get negged for spelling Devin wrong.
I beseech my fellow Mgobloggers, forgive this man his trespasses
January 22nd, 2011 at 11:21 PM ^
Devin ........... thanks for the correction! It's cool
January 22nd, 2011 at 7:18 AM ^
from last night or this morning? Nice photo
January 22nd, 2011 at 7:34 AM ^
Taken by Hayes last night. Nice of them to shovel the snow so the warm weather boys don't get cold feet.
January 22nd, 2011 at 7:47 AM ^
Lighting looks good too, really makes it look cold
January 22nd, 2011 at 8:05 AM ^
That'd be a crap work study job...'Hey Billy...we're gonna pay you $8.00 an hour...go shovel 10 yards of the stadium every time it snows even a little bit so we can give some free scholarships away.' Hell of a deal for the University though since they would be paying under $4.00 an hour for it!
January 23rd, 2011 at 12:08 AM ^
It's not that bad. Official visits only happen on weekends, so you're talking shoveling no more than once a week.
January 22nd, 2011 at 8:49 AM ^
It has been so cold this week. But no matter how cold it gets, it can't hide the prestige and history that is Michigan Football. Hope this recruits have a good time
January 22nd, 2011 at 10:50 AM ^
I know the cold can discourage some isouthern, but I am not sure how much. To me, when it gets into the high 20s low 30s in Florida, it seem significantly colder than similar temps up north. Areas in north Fla are 5-10 degrees colder than we get in south Fla and we've had some record setting cold the past couple years. If they get up there and see its not as bad as they expected that might be a bonus. Once you get below zero, it is just miserable regardless. Having said that, I also realize that some people down here absolutely cannot tolerate anything south of 70.

I'm a Michigan transplant in Texas. Been here for 17 years now. Folks from the south get very intimidated by the cold. Don't want to be a Debbie Downer but count on it fellas, there will be at least a couple in that list that once they get on the plane they will say "Mom/Dad I like it, there's history, there's tradition, there's nice facilities, but sorry I could not handle the cold weather.
January 22nd, 2011 at 3:03 PM ^
you are correct, and it doesn't matter where someone is from, when it hits 10 below its cold

Thanks for the comprehensive list. I'd like to see a running list (such as yours) that gets updated as players commit (regardless which school they choose).
January 22nd, 2011 at 8:22 AM ^
No problem, I can revise and repost as new news comes out and with suggestions from the comments.
January 22nd, 2011 at 12:20 PM ^
You will be able to post your own thread once you hit 100.
January 22nd, 2011 at 8:30 AM ^
It's not quite the same kind of list as posted above, but it might do if you're interested:
January 22nd, 2011 at 8:54 AM ^
Gracias.

a sudden craving for a guinness...

Nice list, but you can x Frost off of it, he is long gone
January 22nd, 2011 at 8:13 AM ^
There was new info out on frost to lead him to be included on the list
January 22nd, 2011 at 8:19 AM ^
No sorry, just the eternal optimist i guess.
January 22nd, 2011 at 8:24 AM ^
On the same note, there are probably guys on the firm commit list that probably aren't as firm I'd like but in the end, they'll be Blue.
January 22nd, 2011 at 8:28 AM ^
It is a nice list. +1 for your work. This isn't intended to nitpick, but to offer an opinion on another of the recruits listed. I believe Saulsberry is firm in his committment to TN too.
January 22nd, 2011 at 6:50 PM ^
Has the in home with the new coaches happened yet ? If so and no positive news, then yeah you could call him long gone but if not...nothings solid until that LOI is signed.
January 22nd, 2011 at 7:54 AM ^
Any reason why you include Max Shortell but not Christian Suntrup?
January 22nd, 2011 at 8:17 AM ^
Suntrup is just speculation at this point (so I guess he could go in the last category) and there's a rumor that Shortell has an offer. I also did this list as I was leaving work yesterday so it's by no means the end all be all...e.g., K. Jones is from TX not MI.

Tim or Brian hasn't done this. I know TomVH has given us a lot of info here and there but a summary is nice. Thanks.
January 22nd, 2011 at 11:41 AM ^
I thought that Taylor was showing a lot of interest. What happened?
January 22nd, 2011 at 1:41 PM ^
Raymon Taylor is on the hopefully interested list.
January 22nd, 2011 at 2:15 PM ^
Has anyone refreshed the available scholarship analysis, by the way? 21 open spots now with Tate leaving?
January 22nd, 2011 at 7:39 AM ^
Thanks for the helpful summary. So much going on within such a short timeframe that it is good to step back and see the whole picture.
January 22nd, 2011 at 7:58 AM ^
.....is a welcome sight, and these kids are welcome to line up on it this fall.
January 22nd, 2011 at 8:32 AM ^
I'd love to see them on the 50, and will be even happier seeing them crossing the goal line!
January 22nd, 2011 at 8:38 AM ^
picture. I dont think I have seen snow in the BIg House before. I just always assumed that the place was "hallowed ground" and mother nature would NEVER dare to put snow on the Big House.
Drove by the stadium the other day and the concourse was shoveled and clean.
January 22nd, 2011 at 8:39 AM ^
Why does that pic remind me of this game?
January 22nd, 2011 at 8:58 AM ^
Because you are old?
January 22nd, 2011 at 9:20 AM ^
LOL......At least I didn't remember THIS game......
January 22nd, 2011 at 9:24 AM ^
Or this one:
January 22nd, 2011 at 9:26 AM ^
If i did i'd probably need to change my name to MGrowdead.
January 22nd, 2011 at 10:19 AM ^
A combined 45 punts
January 22nd, 2011 at 11:00 AM ^
My grandpa is awesome.
January 22nd, 2011 at 12:33 PM ^
ahh the classics.. il take 45 punts if it means we beat Tosu again
January 22nd, 2011 at 1:45 PM ^
LOL, squib kick on the first play from scrimmage. You know it's bad when you're doing that. Hey I don't want the ball you take it.
