2008, the semester of Final Fantasy 2, 3, 4, & 5, and NCAA 2008. I never had any chance.
December 8th, 2010 at 12:28 AM ^
Don't forget Supreme Commander. Wasn't that 2007?
December 8th, 2010 at 2:27 AM ^
2008 - present, the semesters of Mgoblog. I don't have a chance.
December 7th, 2010 at 10:37 PM ^
Yeah, I've been specifically holding off on buying any new games until after exams are over. Not sure it's a strategy that's working. I just find other ways to procrastinate (gotta get three stars on every Angry Birds level!).

Whoa, whoa, whoa, back up there buddy. You can play NFL Blitz on your laptop?! I've been looking for a copy for my PS1, to no avail.
December 8th, 2010 at 1:05 AM ^
place has so many emulators and such... I don't know if it has any legit ps1 versions...
But it got me pokemon red on my macbook for winter break last year... me and my roommate went back to our own hometowns for break and had a compitition to see who could have better pokemon when we got back.
And btw NBA 2k11 is currently killing me with the finals stuff. The "My Player" is too awesome to pass up.
December 8th, 2010 at 1:10 AM ^
Awesome, thanks! I'm not partial to any of the PS1 versions or anything, it's just that that's the only console I own.
December 8th, 2010 at 2:32 AM ^
http://roms.zophar.net/ is the best site I have found.
I currently have a Sega Genesis, Nintendo NES, Super Nintendo, N64, Sega Dreamcast, and Playstation 1 emulators on my computer....Sega genesis and PS1 were the systems I had growing up and I have the most games for those. I just downloaded the others for the classics....One of the better decisions I made
Also, for playstation 1...epsxe is the emulator you should look for...the best by far
December 8th, 2010 at 3:19 AM ^
Dreamcast, you say? Look out Crazy Taxi, here I come!
But seriously, thanks. I'll definitely look that up.
December 8th, 2010 at 10:52 AM ^
that is the best Dreamcast one
December 8th, 2010 at 10:16 AM ^
It was Super Buster Bros. on my SNES. I remember one time when I had to leave the system on to keep my game alive (no memory cards or internal memory), and a girl (friend of a friend) who came in turned it off. I was livid and almost kicked her out.
Super Mario World got a lot of my time, too. It is and always will be the best game ever.

Oh, sweet Jesus they are awful. I'm sitting here trying to crank out an analysis of about 5 Supreme Court cases, and I want to die. All I want to do is sleep!!!
December 7th, 2010 at 10:25 PM ^
Try preparing for a trial that your career hangs on. Trust me, preparing your law school stuff is far less pressure packed. You may want to sleep. With this stuff, you can't. Life is the real test bro.

December 7th, 2010 at 10:42 PM ^
Big game hunting is where its at. Might be sleepless, but nothing beats that adrenaline rush when you take someone down and that look in your opponents eyes when they know you own them.
Can't do that on the gridiron with the grays coming into my hair but this is the next best.
December 7th, 2010 at 10:39 PM ^
Can't relate to the law thing, but I definitely feel you on re: the pressure. I happen to think that only people who want the pressure (or thought they could handle it) have to deal with it, but when you're there...finals, ain't shit.
Still, can't argue with the OP; Finals do, indeed, suck balls.
December 7th, 2010 at 10:46 PM ^
Yeh my life depends on these. My work ethic is about as good as our defense right now. On academic probation, and if my average doesn't stay close to what it is I'm gone from school.

I'm trying to study for my first exams as a 1L. I've never looked forward to a x-mas break so much in my life.
December 8th, 2010 at 12:34 AM ^
There is nothing like the feeling you will have once you finish that last 1L first semester exam. You will not know what to do for about 10 minutes, then you will start drinking. Having all that stress just disappear is incredible.

Engin-100 Blimp section sucks... Well, it's fun but I like not being in the lab for 20+ hours a week.

That class was great and the final was pretty easy. Who is your communications insturctor for that course? I had Olson

I mean, wtf is a short sale anyway? I really don't fucking care, hence me writing this post right now and not going over my outline.
December 7th, 2010 at 11:27 PM ^
suuuucks.
We spent quite a while trying to figure out how to deal with short sales. It has something to do with the difference between recourse and non-recourse debt.

The one peice of advice - with most law professors, you are just hunting for points during a typical blue book exam. If you have no idea what the answer is, just try saying as many correct things as possible, present all sides of the issue and try to gather as many points on the questions as you can. Then find a question you know the answer to and kill it. BTW - the essay section of most bar exams works like this too. (This information is 14 years out of date. You still use blue books, right? Please tell me you still use blue books!)
Good luck. You will make it through. Try not to drink too much after the last exam. Actually, forget that last part.
December 7th, 2010 at 11:00 PM ^
My law school uses a computer program that creates a word document to type your answer into while blocking access to the internet and any other program during the exam. I can write my answers a lot faster than I can into the bluebooks, so I don't use them any more.
As for the drinking, I'm done on Friday and on Saturday I'll be at the Big Chill. My goal is to be drunk enough to not feel the cold.
December 7th, 2010 at 11:08 PM ^
I'll be there Saturday as well, but I'm not done until the 22...

you seen the crows everywhere? givin me the heebiejeebies
if you havent, walk around the diag at around 5:30 and look in the trees
December 7th, 2010 at 11:06 PM ^
Saw that last weekend and it looked like there were still leaves in the trees.
December 7th, 2010 at 11:13 PM ^
It's always like that this time of year in AA, however the crows in the cemetery are creepier. I've always wondered where the hell they all come from.
December 7th, 2010 at 11:31 PM ^
while walking to a game at yost, the damn crows/ravens were in the trees all along McKenzie as it funnels everyone to yost. all I heard were the plop, plop, plop of bird guano on the sidewalk and street. Everyone was trying to avoid being poo'd on.

Lived on 817 McKinley, junior year and it was by far the best time in college. My friends used to drive by the grave yard with all the crows and honk their horn to get them to fly, then laugh at all the poor people on the sidewalk go running from the poop rain. Ahhh what bastards, ha!
December 7th, 2010 at 10:27 PM ^
I've been at it all day. Re-reading Socrates' Apology, Rousseau's Discourses, Locke's 2nd Treatise of Government, Machiavelli, Bacon, Nietzsche...its never ending. Tomorrow it will all be over though, and I make the trip up 75 from Atlanta for the Big Chill.
