Lions/NFL Open Thread
Lions vs Bills today. Dare I say Lions are starting a 2 game winning streak?
Also, fuck the Jaguars.

The whole coutnry does not get Detroit at Buffalo? What a joke...is there really a bigger game this week?

You get all the colors.
November 14th, 2010 at 12:52 PM ^
So does Red Zone also let you see games blacked out in your area? Not something I ever considered, but it could seem useful.
November 14th, 2010 at 12:57 PM ^
Given the format, there's no way for them to selectively not show Lions coverage locally. It might get lesser coverage than other games but you do get to see every touchdown at least. It is phenomenal and has completely changed my NFL viewing, especially since I'm a Bears fan in a Lions market.

I live no more than 3 hours from Buffalo and I can't even see the last great chance for a Detroit win!
November 14th, 2010 at 12:45 PM ^
This is the best chance to get one. Time to break that streak.
November 14th, 2010 at 12:45 PM ^
I'm surprised Indy didn't sell out. I'm not surprised Buffalo didn't sell out. Cleveland either.

our "fight song" SUCKS....worst. thing. ever.
November 14th, 2010 at 12:57 PM ^
If I remember my bar-room trivia correctly it was the first fight song of any NFL team. So we have that going for us.
November 14th, 2010 at 4:18 PM ^
It obviously has nothing on 'The Victors', but it's 1000x better than the Bills fight song. Or mathematically:
'The Victors' >>> Lions fight song >> Bills fight song

pulling for a Buffalo win?
November 14th, 2010 at 12:47 PM ^
This season has been so Lions. Screwed by the NFL in week 1, play Philly and GB tough but fail, show up for the Giants, then find a way to blow it against the Jets, and lose your QB. Play a one armed back up to try and get a win vs. Buffalo...and if they don't, and get reduced to playing Stanton, then what? They could be looking at a 3 game streak...but instead, they might be headed for another top 3 pick.
November 14th, 2010 at 12:57 PM ^
Fitting for Buf/Det I guess
November 14th, 2010 at 1:03 PM ^
Hey!! We get Charissa Thompson again!! Woo-hoo!
November 14th, 2010 at 1:03 PM ^
At least we get to see Charissa Thompson again.
November 14th, 2010 at 1:04 PM ^
I am starting Tebow and Stanton in one league today.
November 14th, 2010 at 1:05 PM ^
Fail.
November 14th, 2010 at 1:10 PM ^
16 teams, start 2 QB, 30 roster slots, Brees is on a bye, Henne was benched. There are no QBs available that have played a down that aren't on IR. I WAS 8-1 coming into today.
FML
November 14th, 2010 at 1:27 PM ^
and Henne is back in.
AFML
November 14th, 2010 at 2:02 PM ^
Great for Henne though
November 14th, 2010 at 2:08 PM ^
I will take that trade every day of the week, and twice on Sundays.
November 14th, 2010 at 3:03 PM ^
It never fails...
November 14th, 2010 at 2:08 PM ^
Yeah, that sucks. I drafted Chad Henne in the last round of my draft solely to be the bye week replacement for Aaron Rodgers this week.
November 14th, 2010 at 3:27 PM ^
...pile on, but given Pennington's history I can't understand why NFL teams would keep signing him as a viable starter or backup QB. The guy simply cannot stay healthy in today's league. He's got plenty of heart and the mind for the position, but his body simply can't live up to those standards. Tough, but those are the breaks.
November 14th, 2010 at 1:06 PM ^
I'm interested to see how Detroit responds after last week. Hopefully they'll be even hungrier and get the W.
November 14th, 2010 at 1:07 PM ^
2nd and 15, and you run? come on Lions
November 14th, 2010 at 1:08 PM ^
Am I the only guy who hates Jahvid Best? He was very played up this preseason and now his production has sucked. He has averaged like 1-2 yd runs all regular season. (I don't know if that's a stat, just what I've watched)
November 14th, 2010 at 1:10 PM ^
He has been very good this year for a rookie with an average to below average OL. Most of his damage has been out of screen passes, or passes in general. not traditional, but as long as he is getting the ball down field I am happy.
November 14th, 2010 at 3:28 PM ^
Best is the best (pun totally intended) back we've had since Sanders, but he still needs a worthwhile OL to gain yards running out of the backfield.
November 14th, 2010 at 1:13 PM ^
and Fitzpatrick LIT UP Delmas....wonderful
November 14th, 2010 at 1:21 PM ^
Lit up? Stop listening to the announcer. Delmas jumped and Fitzpatrick dove at him and hit him in the shin causing him to spin in the air. Hardly getting lit up.
November 14th, 2010 at 1:22 PM ^
are getting the penalties out of the way early.
November 14th, 2010 at 1:28 PM ^
This is getting embarrassing.
November 14th, 2010 at 1:32 PM ^
least they made a stop on 4th down!
November 14th, 2010 at 1:23 PM ^
just got gang tackled in his welcome back to Cleveland...lots of shoving and probably even a few punches thrown after the play.
F U Cleveland.
November 14th, 2010 at 1:27 PM ^
the lions have the market cornered in penalties
November 14th, 2010 at 1:55 PM ^
Lewan somehow got in there? A lot of holding penalties!
November 14th, 2010 at 1:30 PM ^
well done
November 14th, 2010 at 1:31 PM ^
the Lions goal line D has been solid all year
November 14th, 2010 at 1:32 PM ^
Nice 4th down D. Lets take the Mo and run with it now.
November 14th, 2010 at 1:35 PM ^
Pettigrew hurdles a defender...good job
November 14th, 2010 at 1:39 PM ^
Hill throws a ball into traffic and it gets picked. We were moving the ball that drive too.
November 14th, 2010 at 1:42 PM ^
LETS GO BUFFALO!!! First overall pick ftw!
November 14th, 2010 at 1:50 PM ^
Congrats, Buffalo, on your first win! I can't watch this anymore.
November 14th, 2010 at 1:53 PM ^
its depressing
