Moderator Action Sticky
This thread is an ad-hoc way of tracking what threads and comments get removed. Mods that remove a thread should post the title here with a brief reason as to why the thread is gone.
NOTE: if you leave an irrelevant comment in this thread it will be deleted.
NOTE II: New Thread started.

I know.
On one hand I'm like "okay, if it was anybody but the 'shoe doing this I'd be like *yoink* and "To the MGoBoard with you, vile copy-paste."
On the other hand I'm like "but that's what the shoe do."
My feeling on the matter right now is that, as you currently put these together, they're not Diaries. If you can provide information beyond the linked material, that would make it Diarrific. Maybe break down the highlights as you have, then pull some information to support the things written, or make a comparison with that and the current team. I'd like other mods to weigh in.

"As you wish."
November 12th, 2010 at 2:10 PM ^
OT, and the comments got inappropriate rather quickly. C'mon guys, can we at least make an effort to be a little less skeezy than MLive?
November 12th, 2010 at 7:05 PM ^
This is not thread-worthy content.
OP has been a repeat offender lately, and is temporarily relieved of the privilege of starting new threads.
November 13th, 2010 at 12:34 AM ^
Off-topic.
November 13th, 2010 at 12:37 AM ^
Off-topic. OP perilously close to being banned from starting new threads. Be on extreme notice.
November 13th, 2010 at 12:38 AM ^
OP directed to Bar Locator thread.
November 13th, 2010 at 10:48 AM ^
Possibly the worst thread ever. Also, with a username like "pee on freep" something tells me it's going to be a loooooooong time before this dude is remotely mature enough to have the privilege of creating threads. MGoPoints adjusted accordingly.
November 13th, 2010 at 10:53 AM ^
Good luck on trying to go cold-turkey, but this isn't remotely mgoboard-worthy content.
November 13th, 2010 at 3:08 PM ^
Come on, man. This isn't MLive.
November 13th, 2010 at 10:35 PM ^
You're really bad at making threads. Consider yourself on notice to be prevented form doing so next time you make a bad thread.

Ticket Thread. Repeat Violator, -150.
November 15th, 2010 at 7:07 PM ^
Putting "SIAP" at the beginning of the thread title doesn't excuse reposts.
November 15th, 2010 at 11:00 PM ^
OT- Michigan Daily crime notes headline
OT: Michael Vick
No OT
November 16th, 2010 at 1:25 PM ^
Bombs over Buckeyeland
No OT. Title also too joking about serious situation.
November 17th, 2010 at 7:57 AM ^
Annoyance journalism. If someone wrote anything that dumb in the comments, would we need a thread to point at it?
No Sharp.
November 17th, 2010 at 8:09 AM ^
One theoretical internet dollar says that article is referenced in another thread within 2 hours. It's the only reason I didn't delete it sooner.
November 17th, 2010 at 10:11 AM ^
Just in the nick of time.
November 17th, 2010 at 10:51 AM ^
nailed another one.
November 17th, 2010 at 11:53 AM ^
So now the standard is "No posting things from people that the mods don't like"?
November 17th, 2010 at 12:40 PM ^
If it really is that way (even if its not supposed to be that way), can I send you a list of posters I do not like and you can act as my proxy to remove all of their posts?
November 17th, 2010 at 1:01 PM ^
as i am no longer moderating
November 17th, 2010 at 12:55 PM ^
No, and maybe I should have been more informational. Drew Sharp is a specific no-no, because he writes columns about Michigan for the specific purpose of ticking off Michigan fans and making us want to tell our friends "look what this idiot wrote." If you take away the major metropolitan newspaper and just look at the content of his articles, he's basically just a troll. The standing policy of this blog is that Drew Sharp has zero to offer in discussion, and furthermore is a menace because the whole point of his articles is to write something so outrageously stupid that fans will feel the need to call attention to it and fisk, just like a troll. As far as we are concerned on this blog, anything written by Drew Sharp has zero value by nature of it being written by Drew Sharp, thus a fisking is just a lot of unnecessary ANGAR.

If "fantasy football question" and "question regarding msm" makes the cut, this most certainly should as it was actually slightly interesting, and could be something we see from opposing defenses if our offensive pace continues to speed up.
November 17th, 2010 at 12:20 PM ^
"Question regarding MSM" is somewhat worthwhile, and I just hadn't gotten around to deleting the fantasy football thread yet (I can only do one thing at a time, you see).
Since people seem genuinely interested, and it's close enough to on-topic, I'll restore the thread.
November 17th, 2010 at 11:33 AM ^
Ticket sticky.
Also removed thread-making level of mgopoints, since the user basically said "I know there's a sticky thread, but I don't care because I'm a unique and special snowflake."
November 17th, 2010 at 1:16 PM ^
Awesome
November 17th, 2010 at 11:36 AM ^
HEY GUYS I HEARD MICHIGAN WILL BE PLAYING THEIR HOME JAMES IN "THE BIG HOUSE" THIS YEAR.
November 17th, 2010 at 11:46 AM ^
I really don't think there's any need at all to be such a dick in this sticky. In my opinion, just say the thread, and say something like "OT" or something to that extent. It seems like almost all of your posts in here are akin to this, absolutely degrading the poster. I'm sorry (and I'm sure this will be deleted), but this kind of thing, along with Brian's disrespectful Haiku about Obi Ezeh really speaks poorly to this great site.
November 17th, 2010 at 11:53 AM ^
Just wait until you see him in AA and give him a swift kick to the groin so we don't have to deal with another one like him in 20 years.
November 17th, 2010 at 11:55 AM ^
Dude's pretty agile.
November 17th, 2010 at 11:58 AM ^
The funny thing is that this is all in good fun but he's too uptight and will probably ban me. To answer your question I did see it and wasn't impressed. He was doing it with a bunch of 40 somethings. I sure hope he looked better than them.
November 17th, 2010 at 12:18 PM ^
It's really easy to determine whether something is thread-worthy or not. If you can't pull it off, you get a little mocking in the moderator action sticky thread. Nothing is intended to be mean-spirited (unless obviously so, and usually those are accompanied by mgopoint dockings).
November 17th, 2010 at 12:27 PM ^
Thank you for responding. I didn't mean to come off 'dickish' in my post. Sorry if it came off in that way. You mods really do a great job with this difficult job. Someone's always going to end up being upset.
November 17th, 2010 at 11:40 AM ^
Not thread-worthy.
November 17th, 2010 at 11:44 AM ^
How is that not thread worthy? Michigan runs a hurry up just like Oregon and you're just pissed because I took an off-topic post and made it relevant to Michigan.
November 17th, 2010 at 11:45 AM ^
Abandon thread! Abandon thread!
November 17th, 2010 at 12:48 PM ^
Tim:
First off thank you for directing me here. I didn't know this existed and it's very helpful. Secondly, maybe I'm too old but I still don't quite understand the pull decision. Not that this is going to make or break my day, I just truly don't understand I don't want to run afoul of a rule I dont know exists.
Thank you - don
November 17th, 2010 at 12:49 PM ^
To answer the OP's queation as to why the thread was deleted, it's not the original topic (which, while a bit tired at this point - given that Brandon has addressed RR's job security 100x this season - is appropriate) that caused it, it was the mean-spirited nature of the follow-up comments.
November 17th, 2010 at 12:51 PM ^
Ok that makes sense. And again thank you Love the site and didnt want to do anything unknowingly that caused problems.
November 17th, 2010 at 1:09 PM ^
Would that have been so difficult to just say right off the bat?
November 17th, 2010 at 11:50 AM ^
OT, and all the comments were "HERPDY DERP, SEC SUXZZ BIG TEN RULEZ!!!!"
We are not 7-year-olds, let's try acting like it.
November 17th, 2010 at 11:59 AM ^
Ironic, coming from a petulant person such as yourself, who is prone to throwing little temper tantrums.
November 17th, 2010 at 12:01 PM ^
On what planet is this worthwhile content for a Michigan message board?
