Moderator Action Sticky
This thread is an ad-hoc way of tracking what threads and comments get removed. Mods that remove a thread should post the title here with a brief reason as to why the thread is gone.
NOTE: if you leave an irrelevant comment in this thread it will be deleted.
NOTE II: New Thread started.
November 6th, 2010 at 9:52 PM ^
Our troll software "Caves" his comments on the website, meaning no one else can see what a "caved" troll says. The phone app doesn't hide them from what I can tell.
November 6th, 2010 at 10:35 PM ^
I thought it deleted out the comments, but the old posts still appeared in the App, but new comments didn't go through. And when a brand new thread appeared with his comments I didn't think his new comments would appear after you said he was taken care of. So apparently you can only be banned from the page, not the App posts.

Hmmmm...maybe you should delete all this before we give anyone any ideas...
November 7th, 2010 at 6:21 AM ^
I'd have to uncave him to delete each post individually. We're hoping to get the app fixed sometime.

Iffy premise, the comments pushed it into "delete" territory.
November 8th, 2010 at 9:44 AM ^
Was it remotely interesting because I was looking forward to reading it?

Bleacher Report.

Not only OFF TOPIC, but also REPEAT TOPIC.
November 9th, 2010 at 11:56 AM ^
Come on, man. This was covered on the front page yesterday.
I was dangerously close to taking away enough points that you can't start a thread anymore.

Come on, man (second time today). I'm all for being a little lenient for something college football-related, but the was the THIRD Cam Newton topic on the front page at the time of its deletion.
November 9th, 2010 at 3:15 PM ^
OT, and bordering on epic irrelevance.

Next person to post a thread about this stupid video loses 1,000,000 mgopoints.

The people demanded this awful thread go away.

Apologies, board. Out of practice -- will only say that the exercise was meant to be a tongue in cheek release of our worst fears about the Michigan program -- which Brian referenced at the end of his game preview!

NO OT.

I'm not joking when I say we don't need 6 threads per day about Newton.
November 10th, 2010 at 8:49 AM ^
Newton, the new Randy Moss, who was the new MSU.
November 10th, 2010 at 9:17 AM ^
this will likely be a slow bleed/info release story a la Mel Gibson, might not be horrible to just have a Cam Newton Wednesday/Thursday/Friday post to funnel it all into
November 10th, 2010 at 1:05 PM ^
OT: WOTS is that the NCAA will be suspending Cam Newton later today!

I think we need a lesson on what is and is not worthwhile content for mgoboard.
November 10th, 2010 at 9:44 AM ^
my intention.
November 10th, 2010 at 10:44 AM ^
it's just not worthy of posting. it's someone's sarcastic attempt at mocking MSU. why would that need to be brought to the attention of the masses?
there's an MLive for that
November 10th, 2010 at 11:55 AM ^
Put it in a different Cam Newton thread, dude.
User docked a million mgopoints (as will most Newton-related thread starters), and should probably stop spamming for his website, as well.

Somebody felt the need to post a creepy video of youth gymnastics, which... what the fuck is wrong with you?
November 11th, 2010 at 8:54 PM ^
....the people of this board slobber over the videos of youth football players on a daily basis. There really isn't that much of a difference in level of creepiness.

MGoShoe put up a couple of Michigan Today articles in which 90 percent of the editorial is from the linked article. I remember these being left alone in the past, but I don't remember if there was a reason. I bumped them to the board, but maybe mgo.licio.us would be preferable? What say the mods?
November 12th, 2010 at 12:56 PM ^
...is new? That's kind of how all my stuff is. A few weeks ago I did a board post about two MMB preview articles and someone (I think you) bumped it to a diary -- and all that was a series of blockquotes from the articles with minor commentary peppered within.
Admittedly those two items straddled the definitions of Diary and Forum post, but if you think Diaries have to be mind numbing statistical treatises, ok then (I know that's simplistic).
FWIW, these were supposed to be the first in a semi-frequent U-M history posts covering a variety of topics and sourced from various publications. None of it will be very original but it will be thematically tied. That's the sort of thing that gets lost on the MGoBoard.
And now, I submit myself to the judgment of The Mods.
