Moderator Action Sticky

This thread is an ad-hoc way of tracking what threads and comments get removed. Mods that remove a thread should post the title here with a brief reason as to why the thread is gone.

NOTE: if you leave an irrelevant comment in this thread it will be deleted.

NOTE II: New Thread started.

My comment deleted was that Rucker was as lazy as he was stupid in reply to someone defending his actions. How I thought the statement would be interpreted was he was stupid for driving drunk and lazy for driving a car while drunk just across the street instead of walking. Not very offensive in my opinion. Great site anyways, I will keep thoughts on Sparty to myself.

GBMW does not have "insiders," nor is it good practice to let an entire thread go on debating whether or not they actually do.

CNNSI - Rosenberg:  His article on the validity of Famous Sports' Conspiracy Theories

Thread was more about Rosenberg writing it than the whole off-topic-ness of the conspiracies. Both of those combined get it yanked.

first time on Action Sticky....pretty cool, thanks FA. I will not abuse this thread, fyi.

This is a day late, but I had a quick question.

I wrote a deadpan, sarcastic comment on Dantonios' comment about wanting to partent Rucker and the drunk-driving-use-of-a-ski-mask on the closed thread. It's toward the end and there are about 7 or 8 comments after it that I read today. Are they responding to my comment? or are there a few deletions in there? Some of it just makes no sense.

It just ruins it if you have to put a /s at the end of a comment.

PS. you guys do a great job of keeping this place special. Thanks for the work and diligence.

Yeah, multiple responses were "caved" between yours and theirs. It was too much of a pain to go back and delete every comment. I have to do it one at a time involving confirmation pages that I'm sure I want to delete them, then reload the page. Also, to even see them, I have to temporarily "unban" the user. Going through that effort took too much time.

There may be a future effort to adjust how we delete troll comments that doesn't leave replies to the troll. For now, if a thread is locked like that, or I leave a comment stating that somewhere in that thread was a troll, so be mindful of strange responses, just be mindful. I try to at least leave a comment toward the top of the page, or an edit in the OP. But hopefully the nonsense of people lashing out at very sound arguments should be a solid sign in case a different mod forgets to note the troll being dealt with.

Deleted

"Seeing a pattern" - could have been a comment in any other thread

"Raggna'bolhashd" - jibberish is not deserving of a thread.

Didn't delete:

Bye, Bye Rich Rod - I thought it was still civil. Apparently, someone else didn't think so. Sorry I couldn't keep that open for those discussing the contents.

Bunch of diaries unpublished or kicked down to the board for not being diaries.

Important note: If your diary was bumped or deleted today, it was not because of your stance on our head coach's job. It was probably because most of your minimal-word diary was spent talking about earning yourself a banhammer for talking about the coach's job (or wrote FIRE RICH ROD!!!! followed by 20 pages of puncutation marks)

The diary section is for stuff that takes more effort than punching your keyboard. Thx.

Can you bump up Tackling Techniques in the diaries?  It was a really good diary and needs more time on the front pages, than another argument on the coaches' job.

Could Denard play both ways?

You had me at "there's 0% chance this will happen"

Goodbye MGoBlog

Good day to you, too , sir.

Save Richrod!

I'm not Convinced

To paraphrase the thread:

"Give me substantial evidence the RR is a good coach."

[logical reply in comments]

"YOU ARE WRONG BECAUSE WE ARE MICHIGAN AND THESE 3 YEARS HAVE SUCKED."

Put Denard at RB

More because the comments devolved into nothing too quickly. I mean, I see the point you were trying to hit (Tate + Denard at RB could make a better balance than Denard + rotating collection of not great at RB), but I think it's pretty obvious that we've seen flashes of what Denard is capable of doing, and to leave him at RB would be a waste of his talent. Sure, he's not playing great right now, but that doesn't mean you just throw him to the side either.

That probably would have been a better way to phrase your point, and maybe in 2 weeks, if things calm down, you could try the thread again. I don't think it'll go any better, but hey, less people will be this fed up with stupidity.

When I was glancing at the MGoPoints total list I noticed that Emmekel has 1000000798 points.  Is this a glitch or some bit of humor I missed out on?  Sorry if this is completely irrelevant, but my curiosity is killing me.

Potential glitch. During an Open Thread, I threatened anyone who dared discuss gLee instead of football would be negbombed a billion points, jokingly of course. I emailed saying that if he played along, I'd bump him back up to his level. Then the site gave me some issues in translating between central time, eastern time, greenwhich time, and everything had appeared to work out. Low and behold like 6 weeks later, its not.

So yes, irrelevant.

CLOSED: Deal for one Illinois ticket on 50 yd line

Selling 2 Wisconsin tickets

Sticky for this.

The stupidest post: Would Michigan stand a better chance if every kick was an onside kick?

yes, this is probably a stupid thing to bring up. And yes, I am bored at work.

Threads with this type of self admitted guilt will always be deleted.

Because I saw The same guy post slurs (sexual orientation ones) in the "Rumors of my demise" thread that just came up, and it appears in the App, but not when I checked Safari. I know old "deleted" posts still appear there, but can you only ban from one? Or was that like the quickest ban ever? (If so, bravo).
