DeAnthony Arnett lists top 4...AND????
"Dee said his visit to Cal was better than USC and they are a major player," Arnett's brother, Ralph, said. "He is deciding between five schools: Tennessee, Michigan State, Cal, USC and the surprise school people will know Saturday or Sunday."
Are we the surprise school??? I am doubtful but who else could it be??? Weren't the coaches at Saginaw recently??

Can you bring back Jell-O Pudding Pops? Those were outstanding back in the day!

I have some in my freezer right now. They are shaped like regular popsicles instead of being wide like they used to be, but they taste the same.

needs more question marks
November 4th, 2010 at 12:46 PM ^
Isn't he visiting this weekend?
November 4th, 2010 at 5:28 PM ^
Ya the "surprise" visit is to Boise. The Boise St. field is his background on his twitter that someone posted yesterday. Also when he tweeted, "GO BLUE" the other day it was meant for Boise... I think.
November 4th, 2010 at 12:47 PM ^
+1 Mr. Jello for the Big Daddy reference.
November 4th, 2010 at 12:49 PM ^
and he was almost unstopable once he took off. He is almost fast enough to pass the ball 40yds down field and still catch it before it hits the ground.
He did seem a little thin but I am sure MB can fix that.
I would love to see him go blue.
November 4th, 2010 at 12:50 PM ^
I for one am on the edge of my seat to find out the 5th school he might consider... gimme a break.
November 4th, 2010 at 12:54 PM ^
You're not suggesting are you that these high school kids are using this process to somehow further their own publicity now are you?
Shame on you for even hinting at such nonsense. The fifth school he might be considering is VERY important. As is his ability this weekend at parties to Google his name and show chicks from school how many hits come up.
November 4th, 2010 at 12:58 PM ^
I am assuming it is Idaho or possibly La-Monroe because either of those would have the utmost surprise-value.
November 4th, 2010 at 1:23 PM ^
on campus for a visit. But to say it would be surprise, or "shock the world" I just don't see it. I mean he does go to a high school that is less than 2 hours away, and we are Michigan for crying out loud!
November 4th, 2010 at 4:43 PM ^
Neither of those two are it, word is he is looking to blaze his own trail at Phoenix University.
November 4th, 2010 at 1:00 PM ^
... you never know what he's gonna say next:
"He has eliminated Cal and is down to USC, Tennessee and Michigan State," DeAnthony's brother Ralph Arnett said. "Right now, DeAnthony is pretty confident in his decision but hasn't told any of us yet and I don't even know what he's going to do."

I kinda get the feeling that Ralph Arnett has a few things in common with Seantrel Henderson's dad.
November 4th, 2010 at 1:21 PM ^
And Arnett's as likely to come to UM as Seantrel was.

Also, one question mark will do under any and all circumstances.
November 4th, 2010 at 1:25 PM ^
Boise State has been mentioned several times in this context.
November 4th, 2010 at 1:40 PM ^
He apparently just took a visit out to Boise and has been talking them up on Twitter.
The kid is a joker. He's constantly playing around with fans of different teams recruiting him on Twitter and is enjoying every second of this process.
I expect him to go to State because fuck our lives.
November 4th, 2010 at 1:42 PM ^
Double post'd.
November 4th, 2010 at 1:53 PM ^
I think he is the surprise recruit that Sam Webb was talking about for the Iowa game that didn't pan out. I am expecting to see him at the game this weekend. Any chance of getting a guy on campus gives us a fighting chance with a recruit. It will be a good atmosphere with the F-16 flyover, wounded warrior day, and all.
I am not getting my hopes up too high that he will come to Michigan even if he narrows his list down to 2 or 3 and we are still on it. I think we are getting played like we did by Pryor, who never had any intention of coming here, but wanted to keep us from recruiting another QB for our system. That was just another Tressel mindfuck.
November 4th, 2010 at 2:07 PM ^
He's not coming here.
I've talked to numerous people, including his brother, who say that if M was running a more pro-style offense with Devin at the helm DeAnthony would be much more interested.
With Denard backed up by Tate for presumably two more years, and DG waiting in the wings for a while (presuming he doesn't have a MONSTER offseason which is obviously possible given the talent) Arnett just isn't coming to Michigan.
November 4th, 2010 at 2:01 PM ^
But, Michigan hasn't been mentioned as favorite or even a near favorite for months. I can't get excited by this one at all.
November 4th, 2010 at 2:15 PM ^
MSU in his final five? I guess if he plans to play football while maintaining a criminal record...
November 4th, 2010 at 4:01 PM ^
I don't find that funny.
Boo to you.
November 4th, 2010 at 4:35 PM ^
I'm not suggesting he currently has a criminal record, only that if he wants to have a criminal record while playing football, he can accomplish that in East Lansing.
November 5th, 2010 at 11:15 AM ^
I understand and don't like what you are implying.
Moving on...
November 4th, 2010 at 2:43 PM ^
Even if we were the surprise school, we'd still be at bottom looking up. If it came down to the decision of being close to home, I'm almost certain he'd go to MSU.
DeAnthony, before you commit to State, you should ask yourself "who the hell is going to be throwing me the ball after Cousins graduates?"
November 4th, 2010 at 4:18 PM ^
MSU doesn't have any young quarterbacks backing up Cousins?
November 4th, 2010 at 2:43 PM ^
And that's it's Tennessee. Not that this is from any credible source, but some people were saying that on the Rivals message board.
November 4th, 2010 at 2:48 PM ^
and Arnett is the cool kid inviting me to prom? Something tells me to get excited about this kid's recruitment would be asking for a bucket of pig's blood dumped on me on signing day.

I will be very dissapointed if hes the suprise visitor for Sat, I am expecting much bigger and better things.
