HOLD ON TO THE DAMN BALL!
September 25th, 2010 at 3:22 PM ^
Someone should say that's UNACCEPTABLE in ALL CAPS.
September 25th, 2010 at 3:22 PM ^
It was really nice to see. I mean, we had our backups and third strings in, but BG was playing starters still. That was a solid pick.
But yeah, Mouton needs to make all of our interceptions, because he can hold onto them when he does.
September 25th, 2010 at 3:30 PM ^
I do not know many true freshmen, that hold onto the ball when a helmet is placed on the ball.
September 25th, 2010 at 3:33 PM ^
but he had a robot hold on the ball at all times
September 25th, 2010 at 3:49 PM ^
I do not know many true freshmen
Mike Hart was a true stud from day one.
September 25th, 2010 at 4:08 PM ^
I missed the key qualifier there
September 25th, 2010 at 3:14 PM ^
.......yessssssssssssssssssss!
September 25th, 2010 at 3:15 PM ^
Vinopal jumping the route for the INT was nice. But it came during garbage time so I guess you've got to take it FWIW....
September 25th, 2010 at 3:15 PM ^
Vinopal good read on the INT, but should have switched hands on the return.
September 25th, 2010 at 3:19 PM ^
He looked fast on the return though. Did he play more than the last series? I didn't notice.
September 25th, 2010 at 3:30 PM ^
Vinopal played the last two series at least. The last two series had: Cambell, Black, Watson, Moundrous, Demens, Fitzgerald, Robinson, T Gordon, Christian, and Tony Anderson, and Vinopal. Not sure about Gordon on the very last series but was definitely there on the 2nd to last.
September 25th, 2010 at 3:19 PM ^
In his defense, he did switch to the outside arm to defend from the play coming at him from his right, but didn't see the tackle coming from his left.
September 25th, 2010 at 4:14 PM ^
and by tackle, you mean brick wall.
September 25th, 2010 at 3:19 PM ^
but did not see the guy coming from the sideline that blew him up.
September 25th, 2010 at 3:21 PM ^
He did switch hands. He just got blindsided.
I actually laughed when I saw the int. and said " who the hell is this white defensive back that just picked it off". Then I realized oh yeah Vinopal
September 25th, 2010 at 6:00 PM ^
something about having a white defensive back makes the whole unit seem more badass. thats why I like Kovacs with the first team.
September 25th, 2010 at 3:21 PM ^
He did switch hands--he was hit from the outside by a guy he didn't see coming. If he hadn't , it looked as though he might not have fumbled.
September 25th, 2010 at 3:34 PM ^
He just didn't see the one defender to his left.
September 25th, 2010 at 3:37 PM ^
He did switch hands.
September 25th, 2010 at 3:51 PM ^
Umm.... He did switch hands.
September 25th, 2010 at 3:57 PM ^
He did switch hands on the INT, the announcers said he switched hands nicely, he must have been an RB in highschool.
September 25th, 2010 at 4:05 PM ^
Not sure anyone has mentioned it yet, but he switched hands.
September 25th, 2010 at 4:18 PM ^
His hands, he switched them.
September 25th, 2010 at 4:27 PM ^
That his grit is centered in his right hand, and that his left isn't as hardworking or scrappy? This could be a problem going forward
September 25th, 2010 at 8:34 PM ^
That would be a problem, what with the stumpy legs and all.
September 25th, 2010 at 5:37 PM ^
he switched hands but he should have. maybe he wouldn't have fumbled with the ball in his left hand. /s
September 25th, 2010 at 3:19 PM ^
September 25th, 2010 at 4:05 PM ^
Hey guys did Vinopal switch hands?
September 25th, 2010 at 3:20 PM ^
September 25th, 2010 at 3:20 PM ^
I was happy with Avery (woooo PBUs!) and we got to see Marvin "Prison abs" Robinson have a good hit on someone.
September 25th, 2010 at 3:43 PM ^
Prison Abs is Thomas Gordon
September 25th, 2010 at 3:53 PM ^
It's kinda creepy you have taken the time to learn that.
/sarcasm
Overall i was happy with the youngsters.
September 25th, 2010 at 3:20 PM ^
Avery looked small but a playmaker. I can see why the coaches were high on him. Devin showed flashed but it more Vince Young than Denard. Like the young guys, and I think they'll be making plays during the season.
September 25th, 2010 at 3:21 PM ^
what time of the game it came at but Vinopal reckonized, timed, and jumped a route. That is a very good sign by a FR safety.
September 25th, 2010 at 3:22 PM ^
Not to be a negative nancy, but let's just say that Cullen Christian will have much better days than the one he had today.
September 25th, 2010 at 3:31 PM ^
Yes he will - which is why it is good to get him into the game now. He will be fine with some experience.
It was really fun to see how many different young playmakers we have on both sides of the ball.

He was counting RS Freshmen.
September 25th, 2010 at 3:33 PM ^
I think he should be ranked much higher and you missed Jackson and Black to name a few.
September 25th, 2010 at 3:41 PM ^
September 25th, 2010 at 3:46 PM ^
Hagerup wins that award many, many times this year
September 25th, 2010 at 8:22 PM ^
Personally, I'd be happy with him being as invisible as he was today.
September 25th, 2010 at 3:33 PM ^
I was impressed with Avery and Hopkins. But, I love what I saw from Fitz. I cant wait to unleash him on Sparty.
How did the future freshman look on the sidelines? I don't know exactly who was there, but they had to be impressed.
I think Umass would destroy BGSU
September 25th, 2010 at 3:40 PM ^
Quentin Washington looked like Omaneh on a big run, I think it was the Touissant long run. Made a nice block pretty far downfield on someone. If he can step in for Schilling next year and do stuff like that, I'll be incredibly happy.
