100 Days Out: Michigan Favored by 1 vs Notre Dame

Submitted by SkyPanther on

100 days until kickoff vs. Notre Dame. Michigan is slightly favored by another betting outlet, BetOnline.

Other notables there:

State favored by 26 over Utah St

Wisconsin favored by 33 over Western Kentucky

Ohio St favored by 38 in their really tough match up with Oregon St ;-)

Penn St favored by 23.5 over Appalachian St.

Nebraska favored by 20.5 over Akron

Iowa favored by 14 over Northern Illinois

It looks like Michigan has the toughest match up of all big name teams in the BIG 10 on opening weekend.

Two other games that should be great ones that weekend: Auburn vs Washington on Saturday afternoon, before the Michigan night game. And on Sunday night, LSU vs. Miami, at AT&T Stadium, Dallas (JerryLand).

Until the OL proves they can block against a good DL. But I think our FG kicker is better and will win the game 13 - 9. ND will probably only score FG on our D, and the only reason they may be down in our end of the field may be due to a few TO.

Figured there was no way Auburn was going to travel all the way out to the West Coast to play UW. Life doesn't exist beyond the Mason-Dixon line.

Have to say that with the exception of Bama, LSU, and now Georgia to some extent (they did just play @ ND), I don't understand the complete aversion SEC teams have to playing football games outside their own borders.

Wimbush is a mediocre passer at best. Even worse than JT Barrett. force passing downs, contain the pocket and it should be a 7+ win. Michigans defense is elite. Notre dame was ranked in the 30-40's last year. so theyll have an above average defense but it wont be anything special. their leading sack returner only had 4.5 sacks

If they improve their pass blocking they can be an above average line. Their running game ranked in the top 20 which is pretty insane considering defenses consistenly had 7-8 in the box not respecting the pass. Offense can have a huge turnaround this year as long as pass blocking blockig become consistent. Run blocking needs to improve against the upper tier teams. That will happen once Michigan devolops a passing game

haha. i guess what im trying to say is if our passing game improves it can further help our running game against the teams like wisconsin and ohio state. S&P had michigans running game in the top 20 with no passing game at all.
