Amazon-style doc on Shea Patterson's first game for Ole Miss

Submitted by Communist Football on

If you're done watching the Amazon doc on Michigan, and are looking for more of that kind of content, Ole Miss actually produces its own documentaries on its sports teams, titled "The Season." The quality is surprisingly high—they've won several regional Emmys—and offers a behind-the-scenes look at Shea's Ole Miss team.

Here's a link to the episode for Shea's first game, as a true freshman against Texas A&M (his part starts at the 9:52 mark):

Found these when searching for footage of Shea (idk about y'all I love college FB but don't find myself catching many Ole Miss football games). My thoughts are Shea is definitely an elite QB. He has the wheels to design run to maybe pickup 30 yards a game on design runs plays idk if Michigan will do that with him. His feet get him out of a lot of trouble that his OL often put him in. I think Ole Miss OL was probably on a similar level as UofM (just from watching pass plays). 3 of his 7 picks came off tipped balls that hit his WR first. His deep balls were incredibly impressive as he either hit a lot of them or made them catchable to only the WR who didn't make the play. He made every throw he should have. His passes come out of a cannon both short and long throws, but again very accurate. I'm 32 years old and I struggle to name another QB that's played for UofM that you can compare his arm to. When you combine his feet into the mix there's no one. I saw the numbers and was happy he came to Michigan. I watched his film and I became excited about the season. He's a special talent. If he remains healthy all season it will be the only season he spends wearing a winged helmet, he's that good.

CAL (w/ NCAA worst Defense) 27 OleMiss (Shea Patterson) 16...with 3 INTs and a 27 QB rating.

OK. So that was more than 2...my bad!
