OSU and PSU in a tight game with Purdon't - SUNJ to come.

If I were an OSU fan, I think I'd be a mite upset that no foul was called against PSU on that steal.

Thankfully, for me and for all coolers nearby, I'm not. :)

I'm not so sure.  They've got some awful losses on their résumé.  I think it would behoove them to win at least one more game.

The nice thing is, I ran it through the RPI Wizard on rpiforecast.com, and it's got PSU at #68 with this win and then a loss to Purdue.  So, Quadrant 1 status is likely secured for the win @PSU, and now we can all revert to cheering against PSU because, well, they don't deserve happiness.

3 over OSU is nice, but it's also a good match-up for PSU.  They need to show more "depth" in terms of the good teams they can beat.

Other caveat is that a win over Rutgers won't "count."  If Rutgers beats Purdue, then PSU definitely needs to win the whole thing.

I guess I'd be torn, as a PSU fan.  A PSU win over Purdue strongly bolsters the résumé, and a Rutgers loss destroys it.  However, the thought of being able to get their first-ever conference tournament championship and the auto-bid with wins over Rutgers and Michigan/MSU would be pretty appealing.

BTW: I modify my original statement.  Most PSU fans don't deserve happiness.  Those of you who support the current team without trying to cover up / excuse the sins of the past are excluded.  Nothing personal. :)

Purdue basketball is fine; much better than Purdue football.  Matt Painter seems like a nice guy.

I'm cheering for Rutgers for the comedy value, but I wouldn't be opposed to a Michigan / Purdue conference championship game as the final rung of the conference vengeance ladder.

I can't believe that Tony Carr is only a sophomore. Depending on who's going to be around him next year, Penn State could be really good.

Tuned into Purdue-Rutgers on my own TV as my power finally came back about 20 minutes ago. That was a long 19 hours, folks.

And now, beer and basketball and make up for lost sleep eventually.

I'm a bit stunned at how entertaining this game is.  Rutger with fight and the crowd.  Purdue hit 3-straight 3s from Staten Island.
