Exit Dan Enos?

Submitted by ish on

earlier there was a report that saban was trying to poach dan enos that sam webb quickly dismissed with a "he's not going anywhere."  yet 15 minutes ago he changed his tune and now says the story is legit.  he's not saying enos is gone, but that his departure is a real possibility.

But it is starting to feel like there is something wrong with the program. The offensive performance this year, recruitment by class, now we have coaches leaving 2 weeks on the job.

i found it odd that a good sparty coach would come here, and was suspicious... did we just get punked? saban is also a sparty, remember.... And how can he go sign with Bama if he signed with us? Thinking about it, I wouldnt be surprised if neither Enos or Warinner coach with us, and we got punked by the recent OSU/MSU alliance.

CMU grad here, in his few years in Mt. Pleasant Enos preached “Enos teams don’t quit.” He quits everywhere he goes. Worst hire by David Heeke by far. Heeke had two home run hires in Brian Kelly and Butch Jones but completely blew it with Enos, who we all know is a spartan. Harabaugh got played by an inferior Dan Enos, and a superior Nick Saban.

I would expect nothing less from a MSU student. NO loyalty, Suck an elephants nose dry for any promotion, No integrity. Enos has burned all his bridges in Michigan.

Enos couldn't jump directly to Bama due to an SEC non compete clause. Rumors are Saban wanted Partridge, but agreed to back off on him if Harbaugh let Enos stay until his non compete expired. He supposedly won’t be official until Feb 15th when it runs out.

...that this was a non-compete work around, already been squashed?

From that article:

--- There was also this: "In the event the University terminates your employment for its convenience, the covenant not to compete shall not apply."

An Arkansas spokesman on Monday confirmed to MLive that Enos was indeed terminated for convenience. ---http://www.mlive.com/wolverines/index.ssf/2018/01/no_dan_enos_didnt_go_…

Thanks for the link, I missed that tidbit. Looks like they were no more than rumors. Enos is likely just a MSU schill and looking for more money.
