there was a meteor that came crashing down to Earth in Windsor, Ontario. It was a clear late summer night, so the flash was seen throughout Michigan, Northern Ohio, Ontario and into Western PA and Upstate New York.

It' was decently loud..sounded like thunder followed by some lightning but I didn't think too much of it at the time

Keep on the look out for fragments. They can be worth a shitload and the general rule is that if the meteor survives to a low enough altitude to generate an audible boom, then fragments will reach the ground. Happy hunting!

I was in my car driving home from work at 22 mile and Ryan which is pretty close to where they say it broke up over Mount Clemens. I thought it was fireworks and didn't think anything of it. It wasn't until I turned on the news later that I heard it was a meteor.

Yeah it shook my house in Royal Oak! My wife and I weren't sure what the hell happened until we turned on the news
