OT: Lamar Jackson declares for NFL
Louisville QB Lamar Jackson declared for the NFL Draft early. I'm very curious to see how he does at the next level. His stats this year:
59.1% completions, 3660 yards, 8.5 YPA, 27 TD, 10 INT
232 carries, 1601 yards, 6.9 YPC, 18 TD
Is he Cam Newton, DeShaun Watson, Michael Vick, Pat White, or someone else? He reminds me of Vick more than anyone. I think he'll have a decent career, but I'm not sure if he can pass well enough to be a superstar NFL player who takes his team to the next level.

I'll take that bet right now. How much money are you willing to lose?

I don't see any proof that Bobby Petrino will actually coach him any better. And UL has about as bad an offensive line as Michigan, only Jackson made it look better.
He should go get paid and see if he can stick on a roster.

Isn't he better off developing in the NFL, in a pro style system?

What I always forget about Jackson is he isn't some little guy. He's 6' 3", 215lbs. He's not Cam Newton, but he's certainly tall and big enough to play QB at the next level. Will be interesting who takes a shot at him; former UL QB Teddy Bridgewater went pretty high and was solid before getting hurt.

True. But Jackson will enjoy far more camaraderie in the clubhouse, and with the media, than Griffon ever did. Because Lamar is not a pompous jackass.

He's an incredible talent but damn he needs to beef up a bit
