Officiating Crew Tomorrow?

Submitted by FranklinHatchett on
Happy The Game eve homies. Anyone know who the officiating crew is tomorrow? I don't know how to find out and thought maybe somebody would know how. I will sleep better if I know it isn't John O'Neill. After the epic screwing last year, I at least hope we get a fair crew that ain't trippin. If this was posted before please direct me where and delete.

You damn right he did. The B1G and the rest of college football wasn't ready for that kind of domination in year two. Only a matter of time before the games are out of the low life referee hands. They have only managed to prolong the inevitable.

I am admittedly new to Mgoblog, so this may be a naive question, but are posters like you (WolverineWarrior74) and Stringer Bell long-time Mgoblog trollers who are actually fans of another team whom Mgoblog tolerates, or do you actually see yourself as Michigan fans?  Because if the former, please go away, and if the latter, you're telling me that the night before The Game, you feel compelled to post criticisms of our head coach? A head coach that Michigan fans can only hope can indeed be wrapped up with a lifetime deal - but that's another subject and frankly irrelevant to the present fact that the night before The Game, you post this kind of thing. What I wouldn't give to have Bo come back for one day to respond to divisive posts such as yours delivered on the very night before The Game no less. "We're gonna believe in each other, we're not gonna criticize each other, we're not gonna talk about each other, we're gonna encourage each other!"  Of course, what would Bo know compared to "fans" of our team such as you?

Lifetime contract = stability. So it takes us 5.2 seconds to get from 0-100 instead of 3.8. BFD. Harbaugh's doing it the right way and getting the majority of players that he wants, to attend the university. I’m good with the student-athletes he’s acquiring and the progress of the program.

That ref turned out to be Brian Bolinger from Fort Wayne, IN, not Bob Sagers of Cincinnati, OH as everyone originally thought.

Bolinger said he was only congratulating Weber for the hard run, and the B1G said he had been reprimanded before for similar behavior in other games. Bolinger definitely won't be reffing the game this year because the NFL hired him away from the B1G.

Can everybody stop talking about the refs? I see it on every damned social media outlet and it's embarrassing. It was a damned year ago. We lost. The end.

No. Fuck you, asshole. All those folks that have been going around complaining about the circumstances in which they lost a game a year ago then you're nothing but a whiny bitch. The scoreboard is all that matters. They lost. Get over it and stop embarrassing yourself and everybody else.

We lost. Period. It's over.

you're right, clear problems with the league officiating should just be ignored, it's in the past. And, by that logic, every issue will only be be in the past by the time it's recognized so should never be fixed. You're a fucking genius!

If you feel like there are real problems with the conference's officiating then maybe you should take efforts to contact somebody that has an ounce of association with the B1G, because spending an entire year making whiny comments on the internet is not helping anything. All it does is serve as a source of embarrassment for this fanbase.

Well most of us felt like we lost a limb last year, that loss hurt so bad. And knowing that the fate of the team wound up in a botched call, in the hands of a self-described OSU fanboy of a ref, made the game legendary in it's ability to piss Wolverines off for decades to come. Make no mistake, that game will forever be imprinted in the folklore of this rivalry. It should be motivation for years to come. I'll angrily yell about it to my grandkids while trying to keep my dentures from falling out. But yeah, fuck me right?

I mean I understand what you’re saying, but we really got fuckin hosed in that game. Could we have put it away at various points? I think so, but we just never really could seal the deal. The refs however made sure they kept OSU in the game just like they did the Wisconsin game this year. People that keep saying what we are seeing got to stop! I don’t care if that ref is from the moon if some guy did that to your lady you would most definitely take offense to it. Will bitching about it change anything? Absolutely not but it feels better to say something than just sit there and eat that shit! I know a few Buckeye fans myself that admit that game was absolute BS. We have lost some games because we just dropped the ball but this season we have been absolutely raped by the refs plain and simple. It has to be a terrible feeling if you’re a Michigan player knowing the chances of getting hosed by the refs is almost certain if it’s a close game.

Except that it happens in every game... No college football officiating crew is composed of referees from 1 singular state. The crews are set at the beginning of the season, and they work all of their games together to maintain continuity. Yes, it is unfortunate that last year's crew had 3 refs from Ohio, but it also had 4 from Indiana, 3 from Michigan, 1 from Illinois, and 1 from Pennsylvania.

Don't get me wrong, the calls were frustrating, but I absolutely do not believe there is some tinfoil hat, conspiracy theory that referees have it out for Michigan.
